Go for the Clams Portuguese - steamed Manila clams with spicy chorizo, garlic and white wine. Order extra bread as you'll want to soak up every bit of the juice!!! Pair it with a Makers Mark whiskey sour and you'll be in heaven. At least I was! This is a high energy restaurant with great views of the river, especially... More

A group of 8 'women of a certain age' to celebrate a birthday. Adam was our server and did an awesome job. 6 of us ordered the fish and chips and none of us was disappointed. That is a miracle in and of itself. A little too chilly for us to eat on the patio, which overlooks the Boise River,... More

This has been our go to place however we are probably done with our old go to. My wife ordered a hot turkey sandwich but got a hot pastrami sandwich. The waitstaff was great and offered to take back. The problem is that the sandwich is smaller than in the past and the Cole slaw was just horrible - no... More

We visit here frequently and are never disappointed. The food and service is always consistent. Dave makes the best lemon drops. I won't have them anywhere else. It's usually pretty busy so if you go on the weekend, plan to wait or go early to get a seat. Large groups can sometimes be a challenge. Enjoy!

Delicious food that was quickly served and there was something for everyone. Our party ranged in age from 7 to 67.

Good fish, salmon and trout, and drinks. I haven't had anything I didn't like. A little noisy and reservations are not taken - just find an empty table and seat your self. The service is very good and it's usually quite busy.

Wish I could give 3.5 stars~it's better than good but not great. Been there 7-8 times due to location and huge seating area and others' choices. Salad as main dish: lettuce is consistently not fresh/crisp or without issue. Hard to get all hot food too. Some parts of my courses like fries not hot. Soup warm twice. Wait staff is... More

A must have during your visit. Friendly staff, excellent drinks. Service time could be improved and due to popularity, sometimes difficult to find a seat.

Hi Trish, Sorry to hear about slow service. We have added hostess seating to help with the crowds at peak dinner rushes. We will continue to work on service times. Please bring any issues to our attention. Best, Stacey Gray More

Description
Established in 1999. With three locations in Boise, Eagle and Coeur d'Alene that capture the spirit of Idaho and the Northwest, Bardenay Restaurant and Distillery is a cornerstone of Idaho's restaurant and bar industry. The original establishment is located in a once empty warehouse on the Historic Basque Block in downtown Boise, Idaho. On April 25th, 2000, history was made when we served the first cocktail to included spirits distilled in a restaurant in the US. As the nation's first restaurant distillery, Bardenay has set an industry precedent as the first full service restaurant and bar with the ability to create handcrafted liquor on-site. Our distillers are happy to give tours as time allows. Please ask your server if you are interested in a closer look at our operations. p.s. We are only allowed to sell our fine spirits by the drink. If you would like to purchase a bottle, you may do so at many of our state liquor stores.
