We stayed in Sfinari for two weeks and this was one of our favourite tavernas. The fish, vegetables and tatsziki were all fresh, the grill was always lit and they often cooked us a very nice omelette for the vegetarian. Service was friendly and Captain Fidias himself always came over for a chat. Recommended.

This is my after Falasarna place to eat, enjoying a wonderful sunset - more lucky in case of full moon. The food is simple and tasty, the service is typical Cretan and old man Fidias is a wonderful guy. Not many people know this place, just relax and enjoy the peace of your mind and soul!

If you like fish this is the place to come in Crete. Fish caught by the owner's son is delivered fresh each day. The menu varies depending on what is available. The setting is beautiful, off the beaten track and very picturesque with lovely views over the sea. The staff are friendly and helpful with your choice of fish. You... More

Great dinning experience, simple setting by the beach offering an authentic feel to the simple but authentic food. The fish are caught by the fishermen who also cook it for you and run the family restaurant, guaranteeing fresh from the sea to the plate. This is not what you call five star dining but what I consider as more enjoyable.

I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves fresh fish. We picked our fish and then it was grilled and seasoned to perfection. Other places have fresh fish but a bit on the bland side. We had a wonderful dinner and the host was very friendly and came to enjoy some Raki with us- very nice experience. For... More

I like this beach and I like the way is managed by the restaurants here: sunbeds and umbrella are offered and you will be so polite to have a lunch into the restaurant which is offering the facilities. Of course this is not mandatory, but it’s a gentle action, even if you can just take a coffee and spend a... More

This restaurant is tucked away in a cove right at the edge of Sfinari beach along with a couple of others. They showed us the fridge with the live lobster and other chilled fish caught that day by the family. They recommended every course we ate and the food was incredible.... Try the fish and soup for main if you... More
