location is nice and very pretty. atmosphere is great the issue is the food and price. quality is more like a banquet hall then anything else. fettuccini alfredo is not an Italian dish.... its a new jersey dish. quality of food is not great. Very...obvious they are doing everything they can to save money ie parmigiano is what you put on pasta not shavings from some other cheese.... they also promote and force to a FAMILY style dining concept... this is something they have come up with in order to handle large groups... maybe its a staffing issue but likely simply laziness in the kitchen. The family style meal is massive and requires you to leave with multiple take away packages...If i wanted take out i would have order it not gone to a restaurant sat down to eat still ordered more food. The quantity of food is disgusting and a turn off. I think the restaurant works for them given where it is... put that restaurant near other quality Italian Restaurants and this one shuts down in a week. Don't get conned into this pathetic attempt at fine dining.More

Went for dinner on October 1st, 2022 with spouses work. This was the first time I met the majority of his co-workers so I did not want to complain in front of them about my meal. This place was one of the worst places I...have ever gone to. I ordered chicken parmigiana. When it arrived I tried to cut the chicken and thought it was tough. I had a bite of the chicken and thought it was the worst chicken parmigiana ever. I had a taste of the pasta served with it and it was very bland. Had another bite of chicken and thought I can't eat this. Turned it over and discovered it was RAW. I swallowed a few pieces. Felt sick knowing what I had ate. Sent it back. They brought out a totally different dish for me and I said I didn't order that. They said it will take another 20 minutes to make another chicken parmigiana. I said I don't care, I don't want what you brought (they did not even ask me before bringing it to the table! I ended up eating last, did not finish my meal as I knew everyone was waiting for dessert. I thought the restaurant would have at least given us complimentary dessert or coffee. We got absolutely nothing from them. Will never return!More

Purchased a bottle - no label, cork torn at top, screw top bottle along with a very bitter taste - not worth the price charged. Had hoped for a much better experience but am deisappointed

A group of us booked an dinner at Villa Conti for the 7pm sitting for Friday Sept 9th 2022 We ordered the " family style". There was an abundance of food and a wide assortment of dishes. Pricey but we all went home with a...container. A special shout out to our waitress Alex who was fun and informative and made the evening enjoyable. We may make this a once a year go to. We had a meal here and cannot agree with the person who stayed in an RV and left a comment. We did notice them and thought perhaps they were a relative. The menu was marginal. The place did not look clean. After our meal we...had a conversation with someone in Warkworth. While the comment was not verified, we feel it is worth noting. The local person told us that the owner grows his own animals to use in his restaurant. ( sheep) If correct, this is not permitted in Canada. The owner does not look clean, so we must wonder about the state of the kitchen. We will not return.More

We stayed here as an overnight guest in our RV van. It was the end of our two week travel holiday and it was our splurge evening. And we did! The menu gave many options - so very hard to decide. We enjoyed a tantalizing...meal and house wines from the grapes grown here. Thank you for a memorable evening and being excellent hosts! Our compliments to the chef!More

While the view is lovely, the tables over-look septic tanks !! ( this is where human waste goes ) The food was a mixture of bland and over-done. Being a cook myself, I sensed that the ingredients were not fresh. They would not have enough...customers for that. We found the owner superficial. While he had a smile, we felt it was not genuine. The price did not justify the cost. We felt uncomfortable with a patio which was directly beside the house of another owner. It was like we were intruding on their space. There are many nice local places to eat. This is NOT one of them. Our suggestion, which we wish we had done, is to get a take-out in Warkworth or Campbellford and have a picnic. It was not kid friendly.More

We found the owner rude and not at all like the review on a winery site. The food was over-priced and poorly made. The owner came out of the kitchen smoking which did not make us feel good about the hygiene so we took a...look. The kitchen was not the most clean looking. Also, the table cloths looked like they had been used several times by different patrons. ** The owner is selling and said that business was bad. Not the thing to say to patrons !! However, we were not surprised. We suggest that people avoid this restaurant and eat in elsewhere. Two different friends of our had similar experiences. They regretted the waste of money.More

Pasta was cold and sauce bland. This was our second visit and the first was much better. The owners were even aware of problems and blamed them on staffing issues. We are sympathetic and the service was not the issue. The food was poorly prepared...What was supposed to be a warm loaf of bread was hard as a rock from reheating too many times. We had the veal and the sauce was oily and overly salted. The views are nice, but for the price we expected better food.More

Now this was a disappointing 40 minute drive. Made reservations for Aug. 28th. 5 family members. First this place has a warm and casual atmosphere. Customers first waiting to long to be acknowledged at door. Standing long enough to feel awkward. All meals were Luke...warm to cold other than the 60 dollar for 2 Risotto. Veal M dinners had a terrible presentation with 2 slices of hard to cut veal and couple teaspoons of tomato pasta slopped on plate all swirling together and that's all there was. My wifes gnocchi was Luke warm. We noticed plates were not warm and had a chill to them. A demi sized cup of regular are $4. Good coffee but charge for every cup. Bambina was our server and was ok. Tommaso came to our table was very joyful and chatted. Now the down side is I'm hear to eat don't destroy my appetite with wearing bare feet in sandles that were filthy when working and prepping food. Neither Tom or Bambina along with another staff member wore masks at all during service. Even greeting us at door. No mask!. Did not see one employee sanitize or wash hands between menu handling ( reused) , food delivery or removal of dishes from tables. 370 $ before tip. Go to Thomasos in Trenton it a 5 starMore

We went for dinner last weekend and were very disappointed. The interior is lovely and warm and the appetizers were ok . I ordered the sea bass which did not appear to be sea bass at all but rather fresh water bass . It was...full of bones , no meat on it and so dry and overcooked I couldn’t eat it . The pasta was cold . I sent it back and it came back cold . They charged us $70 for a bottle of $20 Santa Margarita . The woman at the LCBO said she wasn’t even sure if restaurants were allowed that steep of a markup . The shrimp and lobster tails my husband had were so overcooked we could hardly remove the shells . I never mind paying good money for a good meal but this doesn’t meet that standard and we won’t be back . We had planned to bring friends for anniversary dinner next weekend but I am glad we checked it out first and will be booking elsewhere .More

Second time around and big change from the first time. Yes, this is a lovely spot. Very warm interior with nice views, but the big problem is the food. There is no finesse here. Pasta is served on a cold plate, with no garnishes or...accompaniments whatsoever. Yes, there is a bread offering, but bruschetta is bland and foccacio over baked. Osso Bucco was made with beef, not veal, with a large amount of gristle. Young wait staff are untrained in the art of serving. For what you pay, this is simply not good enough. Very disappointed this time around.More

We were a group of 4 woman, we had a great time due to our company, unfortunately the waitress basically did not know anything we asked !!! Said was a full bar but everything we asked for they did not have?? Finally 3 of us...decided on a cider, oh yup we have that? Comes back with 2? That’s all they had??? We ordered 2 wine testers to split, which she brought 1 at a time with enough in glass for half a sip?? Was 10 min in between waiting for next tester?!!! By the time we got through the 4 we asked which was the 1st? She could not remember !!!! We did however have a few drinks each & a couple of glasses of wine each. Our meals were good not amazing. We had ceaser salad to start was good but no bacon? Our main meals were pretty good. We then ordered Spanish coffee after our meals which took roughly 20 min, by the way there was roughly 3 tables there! 3 of us ordered a pizza to take home, which were $28 but quite large. Our bills were seperate and mine was $181.00?? The 4 of us spent a total of almost $700!!! Little steep for what we had. I have never minded spending on good food but the service ruined it for us!! Again food was Pretty good, not fantastic pizza good but service was terrible!!! All of us felt the same & won’t go back.More

There are plenty of dishes from pastas to meats you could eat (fettucini with shrimp or mushrooms, lamb chops, veal chop, veal and chicken parmesan, among others). Just be sure to let your server know ahead of time and they... More
