Very friendly employees however the price for the food is not worth it when I can go to other Italian Restaurants and get more for my money. Example all other places I get a soup or salad with my meal however here you have to order and pay separate for the soup or salad. The prices were a bit high... More

We went to Tony Spavones for my fathers 100th birthday. There were 12 of us. The service was the best and Mitchell our waiter was very attentive. Tony sang to my father. We have been going here for years and it is always excellent. The food was wonderful as always. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. I... More

Tony was off singing somewhere else, so we had a quiet lunch. The fresh garlic rolls are wonderful -- served with olive oil, butter and grated cheese. We started with the minestrone and escarole in brodo soups. Our entrees were risotto and tuna salad and rotolo primavera. Plenty of delicious food -- enough leftovers for another meal.

Have frequented this restaurant multiple times and have not been disappointed. This visit was for a mini birthday celebration and the waitress recommended neck bones and gravy which were outstanding. I very much enjoyed the gravy on the bones better than the pasta gravy which seemed to be a little more acidic and less flavor. Really a good deal!

Chose this restaurant solely on location as it was a halfway point for meeting a friend. As other reviews have stated, the atmosphere is dated and boring, and the lighting is too bright and glaring. We were seated right away for our 6:45 reservation and greeting promptly by our server, Nicole, who took our drink order, a bottle of wine... More

Ok, so the decor is dated and the location isn't downtown Chicago. That's all ok, because the reason to go to Spavone's is for the people and the food. It's old-timey, with a great owner, Tony, who entertains you while you eat; old style surroundings, with dozens of photos of the greats and near greats that visited the restaurant over... More

Tony makes you feel like home in old Italy. A group of friends gathered for outstanding food and, wine, laughs and Tony singing. There is a reason it has been successful for years.

I have been eating here for 30 years. This is a dying breed, so if you get a chance get here on a Friday or Saturday night and you will not only have a great meal, but Tony will sing you some great Italian favorites. Great atmosphere. Make sure you make a reservation because the place is busy on weekends.... More

You just gotta go on Tuesdays for the "All you can eat neck bones." Wow, what a treat! Really, for $13,95 you get great service, awesome neck bones in home made spaghetti sauce along with a side of mostacholli to boot The tasty garlic bread fills the bill as well. You can dip it in the sauce with the grated... More

Average food, so so service, nothing to get excited about. If your idea of entertainment is having Tony sing I feel sorry for you.
