Had a great dinner for my Mom's 81st birthday. Our service was very good and everyone had a great food. My Dad and son had the Thai salmon which was excellent. Wasn't very spicy like was described but that was fine. Still had great flavor....More

I’ve had good food here, but the hours seem to be erratic, the service is average and the food is sometimes very good. The last time I stopped in they were closing nearly two hours early because business was so slow.

Carbondale has had a hard time supporting good restaurants. Newell house has withstood the economic hard times of the area and continued to offer good service and food. Not inexpensive, but not over priced for good food

We were greeted so very nicely as we walked in. The menu has so many appealing choices. I went with the classic rib eye which was done to my specifications.

Nice selection of appetizers and entrees. Good but not crazy expensive wine list. Nice evening out to dress for if you wish, but will not break the bank.

This was my second visit in the last few months. The menu changed a little, and it’s fairly limited, but the food is excellent and beautifully prepared no matter what you get. Great selection of wines and good service. I highly recommend trying it out...More
