It was a quiet rainy Chicago Wednesday evening. We just saw the matinee of Hamilton the musical and it was getting close to dinner time. Did the Trip Advisor thing to see what was close by and Buddy Guy's was within walking distance and sounded like a great option. Got there and the host said that a small show starts... More

Went for a date night. Good food, great music. They start charging the cover at 8, even if you are already seated. I suggest if you plan to eat dinner to arrive before they start to charge the cover. Seating is first come first serve so the later you wait to arrive the harder it will be to get a... More

Have been there several times when Buddy is in town. His concerts are so entertaining and worth getting tickets for. Would highly recommend this place. His son and daughter was with him and are as entertaining as their father.

Buddy guys has excellent ribs to go with some of the best live music and iconic old-school atmosphere you would expect. The BBQ chicken and wings were just ok but if you stick to the ribs, you can't go wrong! Be prepared to pay a cover mist, if not all, nights so plan ahead.

Thank God they were open for lunch, so I was able to corral the crowd and get them to walk there. And Live Music at lunch with no cover charge! Loved the music, loved the gumbo, loved the beer!

We popped in here to watch Buddy play in his own place and it was amazing...bucket list item for sure if you love the blues. Check online to see who is playing. Ric Jaz, who looks angry in this photo, is actually a really friendly artist! And Buddy...I mean what can you say???

Went there with my spouse for two concerts. Great music, wonderful food. Their oysters are superb! If you count calories, have them for lunch. Sadly, I am not a fan of the house beer (Buddy's). The others are great. Nice selection of music memorabilia. You can get there on the red line, very conveniently. Must do in Chicago!

My wife and I were interested in some quality music with our meal, so we researched the listings and found a potential group coming to Buddy Guys that we were interested in. We bought tickets online, (easy), that guarantees you entrance, (pre-paying the cover), but not a table. So you need to arrive ~7:30P, (but not on a Thur like... More

While I suppose your experience here will largely depend on the performers that night, I - personally - have always had a fairly good time. Get there early if it's a weekend or a big act, seats can fill up quickly! The food is good - okay - nothing amazing but definitely nothing negative to say about it. The atmosphere... More

My wife and I were there just to grab some Cajun food. Food was pretty good for Chicago (not New Orleans by any means). But the atmosphere and music was great. Would have loved to stay longer!

Thank Ben S
