We stopped into Buddy Guys for some drinks and appetizers before a concert at the United Center. The place is big and is well stocked. This was late afternoon on a Wednesday so it wasn't very busy. I would love to check it out on a weekend night. Bartenders were great, too!

I occasionally visit my company's HQ in Chicago and have to find dinner... Buddy Guy's was just a few blocks away, so I decided to give it a try. The ribs and sides were surprisingly good -- not nearly as touristy as I'd expected. The free music was a fine solo guitar performance, and I had a Buddy Guy Sighting.

Went to Chicago for the recent Blues Fest. Saw Booker T play, and Buddy came back from the festival to do a little blues number with Booker T and his band. Great food, great atmosphere, great music.

This bar was in walking distance of our hotel, so we checked it out on a Thursday night and it was packed! Its a $10 cover for the live music, we had dinner and a drink or 2 each and still only spent about $70! Enjoyed the food and the drinks, I just wasn't a huge fan of the singer... More

Okay, so this isn't the chicest restaurant you've ever been to. The food's good but not outstanding. The service is adequate, but nothing special. The beer's cold but you can get it in other bars. However, add the ambience & history of the place to the stunningly good blues music and this place is a total diamond. A $20 cover... More

Food and beers were so-so ......... but who visits Buddy Guy's for food and beer? The floor show was top blues and the atmosphere was electric. We were lucky enough to be visiting when Buddy had just returned from a tour in Canada so we were treated to a short

I was staying at the Chicago Hilton next door and happened to wander in one night and got to see Buddy Guy himself come on stage. It made for a wonderful evening.

Went with a group of people while in the city for business. I was staying at The Blackstone hotel which is less than a block walk. I can't say anything bad about Buddy Guy's! The live blues was Awesome! Nellie
