Food is very interesting and great... You'll have things here you'll never find anywhere else. We enjoyed our dinner. I don't like the communal dining. They have a few private tables however most sit at a long table next to a stranger.. not really my thing. Long waits too...

This place was really cool! The food was different (in a good way) & you sit with others which is neat because it was very crowded but the atmosphere was fun!

This popular spot on N Michigan Ave always pulses with a great vibe! I grabbed a spot at the bar and immediately made two new friends. The bartenders are quick with recommendations and the service was brisk but not rushed. I had the fried deviled egg with arugula (stellar), roasted cauliflower (also stellar) and squid stuffed with prosciutto which was... More

Got in about 9:30p on a Thursday and it was still hopping. Great small plates resto. Tight tall tables where everyone sits together euro style. Tonnes of fun. All sorts of servers take great care of you, and the food is simply awesome. And it's totally reasonable cost wise. A new regular spot for me when I come to Chicago.

Chosen for proximity to conference venue at Intercontinental on Magnificent Mile and other conference colleagues' recommendations. Was very crowded on a weekend evening hence long waiting time up to an hour after registering names. Sat outside main restaurant area. Tapas style dishes small though tasty. Very noisy atmosphere more for younger crowd not so relaxing after a long meeting day.

We were here on a recent Sunday. We were in line by 11:25 for the opening at 11:30. By 11:45 the restaurant was pretty full. The servers and staff were attentive. The menu full of delicious possibilities. Lovely wine list. We had 3 dishes: bone marrow, roasted octopus and the JLT sandwich. It was all wonderful and it filled the... More

Spent the day at the Art Institute and walking around Millennium Park, the Lakefront and the Chicago River but started to get cold (it being February), so headed over to the Purple Pig around 4 pm for sustenance. For the first time managed to get an individual table where we enjoyed three dishes and a 1/2 bottle of wine. Really... More

Most of the plates are made to share so you can try many different things. Lovely Taramasalata, my friend loved the short ribs.

It is a crowded great restaurant with excellent food! The personnel was really friendly and informative. If you want really good meet and delicious small (but fulfilling) plates order: roasted bone marrow, neck bone and goat cheese, great smashed french potatoes, milk pig shoulder. Everything is delicious. I strongly recommend it for every one who appreciate good food.

I'm vegetarian and this was a great spot to grab lunch during the work day. Small, sharable dishes that are well made. The seating area is small, so make reservations or get there early.
