Amazing, authentic pastries that were delicious. Staff helpful in making suggestions and describing ingredients. Can get items for a meal or have a quiet team with treat like I did.
The breakfast at Austrian Bakery was delicious, with very generous portions. We also bought pastries to go which were also delicious. We sat at an outside table that was very nice. The service was friendly and efficient.
The plum cake was delightful. Coffee is good and service was excellent. There are a variety of pastries and sandwiches available, all reasonably priced.

Welcome to Austria. Great bakery goods. Small breakfast menu. Ambiance average. A place to sit down and relax. Not Frances' or Eleven Diner, but still a good choice. Do order their dark rye bread which is like pumpernickel bread.
LOVED the croissant omelette sandwich - perfect croissant; flaky and buttery goodness. Schnitzel was sooo tasty as well (cordon bleu) Everyone loved the apple strudel (me not so much...) more details here: http://inagoodfoodmood.wordpress.com/2013/05/31/austrian-bakery-chicago/
