Enjoyed breakfast at a newly opened Growling Rabbi near Loyola University. Nice, fresh omelet and hash browns. Good service. The baked goods looked delicious but we didn't try any of them. Three of us had breakfast and we were all happy with our meals. Funky photos on the wall... cute place.

This place was recommended to us by a friend, a friend we thought had good taste. While I know some places had an off night, I would suspect that what we experienced was pretty much the norm. The place lacks ambiance, and the service is slow. I wasn't particularly impressed by the menu or the food. It was average at... More

I wanted to like the Growling Rabbit because it is near my home. But the food is mediocre at best. No one in our group liked what they had -- a variety of foods from the menu. They advertise that all their burgers come on a pretzel roll. It is not a pretzel roll -- just a wheat bun. Service... More

The Growling Rabbit has moved to 5938 North Broadway. This place is our go-to for weekend brunch whenever we're in Chicago. Seasonally inspired specials on the menu, as well as bakery items, including vegan and gluten free options.

We had a delicious breakfast here. The menu has a lot of variety with both traditional breakfast and some diverse offerings. We would definitely return. Parking was easy on Sheridan.

We had a delicious breakfast here on my first morning in Chicago. They offer a lot of vegetarian options and great coffee.

My daughter took us to the Growling Rabbit for breakfast this past Sunday. We checked in with the hostess and then waited, waited and waited for our table. Turns out she failed to write down my daughter's name. When we were finally seated my daughter told the waiter that we were in a bit of a hurry. That comment did... More

This place is always busy not only because of it's location but because of the good food it delivers. It somewhat reminds me of a diner. The area around this restaurant are mainly apartments that is why the parking is a commodity but, the two times I have been here we found parking fairly quickly(less than two minutes). I think... I have been twice now, and put it on my list of places I must go to again in Chicago before I move. I've had the Brie and Ham Crepe both times and it is melt in your mouth delightful. The people I've dined with have had the Apple Maple Bacon Crepe and the Cuban Sandwich, both were also phenomenal.... More
