Too expensive and overrated for sandwiches that aren't nearly as tasty as Jimmy John's or Potbellies.

There is nothing like a good sandwich shop to satisfy your stomach pangs and taste buds when you aren't in the mood for steak and potatoes. Lunch at Snarfs is recommended. Located at 600 West Chicago Avenue in the old Montgomery Ward building, this is a convenient branch of a regional chain of sandwich shops that dispense hot and cold... More
We were so happy to hear that Snarf's had gluten-free sub bread. We went shortly before 4, so there was no line. The subs are toasted and crispy. We have tried to go here before but since they are in the business area their hours are limited. We brought them home to the kids and they can't wait for us... More
This is for the Oz Park location. I was seeing a play a half block away from Snarfs, and thought a sub shop should be able to get out a quick sandwich before the play started. Mistake. It took 20-25 minutes from order to delivery. By that time I had to leave to go to the theater. I was standing... More
Efficient service. Great choice of sandwiches. Lots of customization. From bun to fillings to "extras" Very popular and busy in 12 to 1 timeslot. Is in Domain, old Montgomery Wards building It presents itself for what it is. Very good fast food sandwiches, etc. Competes very well with food trucks in area.
i had the italian sub which almost brought me to tears with how good it was. the service was wonderful. they were inviting, happy, and speedy. for a sandwich and soup shop, it was exceptional, honestly. i was in love. what a fun atmosphere they created with this place backpackers, you must absolutely try it out!
They have some unique sandwich options and they're definitely yummy, but the sandwiches are very overpriced. Since this is located inside the 600 West building, they know that employees will be eating there and forced to buy from them...so they're jacked up their sandwich prices. Their staff makes up for their prices though - they're funny and very accommodating. Worth... More
This review is for the new location at Oz Park (Lincoln and Webster). My first time eating a sandwich at Snarfs and I was not disappointed. Outstanding sandwich piled high with meat on a crispy roll. This is a better sandwich than the two other chain sandwich stores in the area. I'll be back to try the ret of the... More
The food was good but the employees are/were what made this place great. Unfortunately, their corporate owner fired all of them 2 days before Christmas! Cause they want to remodel??? I can never in good conscience eat at any Snarfs anywhere ever again. And neither should you.
Menus on chalkboards, booths with benches, brick walls and lots and lots of glass. Then menu is classic diner. There is a takeaway counter for convenience and tables for conversation. Great location on River North. Nice spot for a casual meal or a quick conference over coffee and bagels. Maybe not a destination but a great spot if you are... More
