How much time do you have? No really....we didn't understand this was the meaning of the opening question "are you going to the theater tonight?".We said no, and this lead to the most drawn dinner since we ate in a restaurant in rural Ontario. It...More

I ate here on a Tuesday night. It was a slow night as there were no plays showing (due to Halloween I understand). Our service was very attentive but hard to judge much as it was so slow. I had the pheasant filled pasta which...More

We ate lunch prior to attending the theater. Our food was delicious and the service was excellent. The decor was very old world and therefore cozy and intimate. Recommend as a place to go before or after attending the theater.

So I do not partake of the gluten, at all, ever, thus I tend to shy away from Italian restaurants. So happy that I gave Vivere a try. Took a good GF to the CSO for Wynton Marsalis and Jon Batiste for her bday. Dined...More

Would not have found this place on my own had it not been for a recommendation. A quaint restaurant tucked in behind a bar, with tiles from a bygone era, with an impressive ambience. Food was good, as was service

Reliably competent and well-executed Northern Italian food served by knowledgeable professional wait staff (some of whom have been there for 20 years) and complemented by a world-class wine list. The decor by Jordan Moser from the 90s could use updating (which was ground-breaking at the...More

Vivere is a Chicago dining destination. The most upscale of the three restaurants under The Italian Village roof (along with The Village and La Cantina) Vivere is a phantasmagorical art-deco den. Service is formal but congenial. The menu has interesting variations on familiar Italian specialties....More

Vivere is a great restaurant. The food is great. The service is super, and the ambience is wonderful. We would not miss eating there when in Chicago.

Had dinner before going to see Hamilton. Excellent service, especially the busboys, who were the best I've seen in a restaurant. Food was well prepared and presented. Good wine steward.

I don't know why this keeps showing up, but I do not need their phone number. I was in Chicago for a one day visit and am back in Texas. Thanks to everyone who answered.
