The food is great, the cocktails as well. I think the only reason I didnt give 5-star is because my friend told me it had a michelin star, which I didnt check but then wasnt amazed or surprised by the food: it was very good,...More

I came here on a recommendation from a friend and I wasn’t disappointed. A little out of the way from the downtown core but a super cheap Uber ride. We arrived and were able to be seated right away (it was a Sunday evening). The...More

I realize that I'm a food snob and this is the very reason I came to Longman & Eagle since I heard rave reviews about it. We ordered a variety of food from the bone marrow to the gnocchi. I was not impressed with any...More

Dined here last night with a group of friends. The impressive cocktail menu, delicious food combinations and attentive staff compensated for less-than-impressive interior. When you walk in you may think this is just another dive bar, but I assure you it is not. Fun cocktails,...More

Having greatly enjoyed the Shrimp and Grits variation served at L & E, I returned to see what other magic I could find. Friday lunch was not too crowded and I got a table immediately. I really like Sauerbraten and thought that, maybe, they would...More

Longman and Eagle is a superb emporium of meat and whiskey, the perfect place for my favorite public vices. L&E has a sense of humor, not taking itself too seriously, and is a fun place to hang out with friends. I enthusiastically recommend the whiskey...More

My idea of tourism is finding a craft cocktail bar. This place was pretty solid. The cocktail menu has some creative ideas and the servers are skilled. I didn't get a sense of anyone wanting to deviate from the menu -- but that's OK --...More

This restaurant is always full of life, inventive, and delicious. We especially liked the Steak Tartare and the Wild Boar Sloppy Joe.

Sunday Brunch; busy but congenial and low key. As noted I had the Shrimp and grits which transcended the fine version to be had at Wishbone; every ingredient shined and the dish was super rich but did not incapacitate as the size was small but...More

We were headed up to the winter Farmer's Market this Sunday on Milwaukee Ave. It had been a year since we were here. Brunch at 11 am and only a 20 minute wait. You can now go next door on the weekends to OSB (Off...More

No, from what I remember, there are no TVs in this restaurant. It's not a sports bar so you're better off going somewhere else. However, I still suggest checking this place out anyway. Great food and ambiance.
