I have had many a very good dinner at this restaurant over the years but our recent visit confirmed a continuing slide that may well result in this restaurant losing their 1 Michelin star. Certainly if I was the inspector on this occasion it would...More

Had autonno salad, cappellacci paste and zeppole for lunch. Perfect proportions, perfectly made. Dining companions had polpette, insalate di pollo, zuppa di ribollita, gnocchi, and tagliatelle neri. All quite varied and good. Interesting gelato flavors. Relaxing setting, nice views, excellent staff.

This outstanding but expensive Italian fine dining restaurant is very very good. The service is quick, efficient, a lot of wait staff (thus the prices to pay them all) and it starts a little snooty and pretentious, but after awhile everyone warms up and gets...More

The technique, style and culture and preparation of the culinary style is epic. Your senses will let you know how lucky you are to dine here. Italian done perfect, even for the heavens.

Surrounded by frescoes that could have been painted by Giotto, I felt like I was back in Italy. The Spiaggia is much pricier and more elegant, but I loved the warmth and gorgeous decor of the Café. I had the trout (trota) with artichokes, and...More

A very expensive restaurant. The sort of place where if they ask if you would like to start with a glass of champagne, it will cost you $29. It will be a good glass, of course, but I pay $18 for a much better glass...More

Cozy find, excellent service, excellent gnocchi. Only unpleasant surprise: corking charge of $40 for wine bottle we brought in (4 people.) Is this a Chicago thing or restaurants?

We arrived in town late and were looking for an Italian restaurant. We found Cafe Spiagga on Trip Advisor and gave it a try. We accidentally found Spiagga first, not realizing that Cafe Spiagga was separate. Even though it was almost 9 Spiagga was full...More

We love Spiaggia and its Cafe. We held our wedding reception in their private dining room. However, our recent visit to the Cafe was disappointing. We were greeted warmly and seated promptly. The Burrata appetizer was excellent. Then......we waited for our entrees. After seeking out...More

The menu itself is relatively small as its focused on fresh daily options. There are a few fish options. The menu is always on the website.
