Our first visit to the restaurant. The staff was friendly, their recommendations excellent, and the restaurant very clean. There was abundant parking on the street near the restaurant. I would highly recommend this restaurant for excellent, authentic Mexican food.

Very friendly family restaurant with good home made Mexican style food. Many restaurants have shortcuts when it comes to some of their staple dishes..Not here. Frijol machacado is clearly done the old fashion way. Very friendly staff and owners.. live music on Sundays adds to the experience.

I read about this restaurant and how it has been a family-owned community staple of the Pilsen neighborhood, so I decided it would be a good place to go for lunch when I was on a work trip to Chicago. It was a drizzly, depressing day outside, but inside Nuevo Leon the colorful wall murals of sunny pueblos made things... More

My husband and I visited this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. It was not too busy but the atmosphere was great. They had a live singer serenating the crowd. There's almost no need to order appetizers here as they bring you chips, two kinds of red salsa and a pico de gallo with little pieces of jalapeno; probably the best... More

Fou of us went here for a slightly late Thursday night meal. Arriving after nine the restaurant was not especially crowded. Service was friendly but a bit slow and understandably English was limited with our server. Complimentary chips and 3 kinds of delicious salsa was first brought to the table. Also a small with a tasty potatoes filling was complimentary.... More

We went here on a weeknight with a party of 7 people. The restaurant was bustling. We had excellent and friendly service despite the crowds. The menu is quite varied and large. Everything from the combination plate to fajitas was very well prepared and presented. The guacamole was just about the best I have ever had. The ambiance is loud... More
