We've dined at Russian Tea Time a couple of times now. Its location makes it ideal for dinner before or after the CSO which is right around the corner. The service can be a little slow to get going, but once it does, the servers are extremely helpful and attentive, and the food is out of this world. We ordered... More

We were staying in the Congress Plaza hotel on a short visit from England to Chicago, so this was really close, We had walked past it and noticed the menu, and the vegetarian platter for my veggie daughter. It was really delicious, with a platter of salads and potato dumplings to start, and a delicious selection of bowls for our... More

We visited Russian Tea Time after going to the Art Institute. We were seated in the back and received very good service. The vodka flight was delicious, I would recommend getting one or three every time you go. The soups were fresh and hot and the vegetarian dinner was excellent. We also had tea which was never allowed to get... More

This is an upscale place and not cheap but it was very good. my hubby and I shared the Russian Sampler for two. The salad had a... More

This is our family's go-to place for a special tea service, lunch, and even dinners. It's best when you combine it with a fun, downtown Chicago event, like going to the Art Institute, which is just up the street on Michigan Avenue. The tea service is blackberry, a specialty of the house, but you can get other types. We often... More

Russian Tea Time is a dining destination every time we come to Chicago, and our latest experience reminded us yet once again why we keep returning. The overall ambience is delightful, with wonderful service and atmosphere. The menu offers a great variety of Russian dishes, all of them excellent. Many of these are traditional full dinner offerings, but over the... More

We took a Limo downtown for my daughter's birthday with several of her good friends. The food is still good but we sat in the back and I should have insisted that we be seated in the front area. Way back in my Salad days with my elderly cousin Agnes, we were always exited to see a Movie Star or... More

Lots of great choices on the menu. This was my second visit, and I enjoyed my meal just as much. Management is very accommodating, and the location couldn't be better!

Was looking forward to great experience and unfortunately it fell short. Not sure what was going on with our waitress, but in the middle of service she just disappeared. Food was ok, but I have had better at other Russian Restaurants.
