I met my attorney there for lunch today. While I had asked for a booth, we got one that almost looked like a confession booth. We had good martinis, caprese salad and a chicken salad that could have served two others. Good service with a...More

I guess this is the hot spot in the downtown area. It was packed when I went to pick up my food. I had the chicken picatta, the entire meal as delicious. The tomato sauce was very rich and flavourful. I like that they add...More

Stopped in at 3:30pm for a nice meal with a good friend. Was seated in 3 minutes. Drinks were good. Pasta was excellent! Shared a desert. I always enjoy the IV when in Chicago.

I was staying at the Hyatt Centric across the street and thought that my wife and I would enjoy some Italian Take-Out from the Italian Village. We checked out the website, placed an order by phone, and thought by the time we walked over to...More

We met here with friends, we have been here before. The atmosphere is lovely, quaintly Italian and there are several different parts of the restaurant. We went here partially because of the proximity to the Private Bank Theatre, formerly the Schubert, and seeing 'Hamilton' as...More

Quick review: delicious Italian food at moderate prices. The dining room is set up like an evening in an outdoor Italian village, with some alcoves "inside" buildings. Friendly, professional service. This place has been on my list for many years, but was often too busy...More

Such a fun place! Food was good - we had cheese stuffed pasta, lasagna and salad as entrees and delicious garlic bread as an appetizer! Great service and wine choices! We will be back!

We chose this restaurant because it was close to our theatre. The service was IMPECCABLE! They didn't ever let my water glass drop before half full. Great ambience. Wonderful food. Highly recommend trying it out, especially if you're headed up the block to the theatre!

There are many things to take in with the Italian Village. First, it is a totally family owned business, third generation I think. The "Village" is actually reference to the fact that there are three restaurants each on a different floor. Each slightly different from...More

Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a
good starting point to sample the city's energy and
flavor. This central business district boasts
Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier
shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep
your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many
photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of

I've only eaten on the lower level and it was excellent. I really don't think you can go wrong with any of the levels - I think it's more whether you want a fancier environment with fancier service -- I think the food... More
It is a noisy place? One member of our party is very uncomfortable with the noise level at many restaurants. Would Italian Village have a quiet corner for us (party of 7)?

No, unfortunately the entire upstairs restaurant is very close quarters and very loud. Perhaps their basement restaurant or the one on the first floor may be quieter. They have 3 restaurants on one site, on 3 different... More

Three restaurants in one historic building, the Italian Village is home to The Village, La Cantina Chophouse and Vivere. All three have their own chef and make their own way, each catering to a different restaurant experience. Whichever experience you choose, you can't go wrong. Our 35,000-bottle wine collection fills hearts with joy and our waitstaff, many of them with us for decades, ensure your dining experience here at the Italian Village is memorable. We treat you like family!
