A friend who lives in Chicago suggested we go to the Billy Goat Tavern. Supposedly, it’s world famous. I’ve been trying to reduce the amount of bread I eat, so I decided to order their cheeseburger and eat everything except the bun. They may be...More

The Michigan Ave location is not at the main street level. You have to go down the stairs like you are going to a train station! Burger was fine...lacked a little seasoning, great bun, toppings are a little limited, no lettuce, tomato, or mayo...just ketchup,...More

Terrible terrible food I can’t believe that people even consider this a place to dine in and wrote such reviews! I would’ve preferred if i had gone to bed on an empty stomach!

Fascinating place with a great history and some great stories. Only go if you have a sense of humour and aren't expecting Ritz quality service or food. Having said that the food and drink are great and the staff were very entertaining. Really quirky and...More

This is our 3rd time in a year traveling to and eating at the world famous billy goat tavern. For lunch or a late night snack you can't go wrong. The double cheezeborger and cheeps (no fries) are amazing.

If you love the original SNL skit on Cheezborger, Cheezborger, Chips, No Coke, Pepsi! Then you got to at least go and see the place, if not eat there. Being a vegetarian, I could not have a Cheezborger, but the beer was good and cold....More

This is a fun spot for anyone looking for a good burger and a beer. Enjoyed my cheeseburger and the Billy Goat IPA was really good. The location underneath Michigan Avenue and the classic dive atmosphere add to the experience. The persons taking are food...More

Read that this one one of the "must visits" in Chicago. It was actually very disappointing. We didn't eat as my other half is vegetarian and there wasn't a veggie option but we knew this before entering so this was only going to be a...More

This place is more of a beer and burger restaurant, so I really wouldn't recommend it for breakfast.

Not sure, but I rather doubt it. Just regular bar food, cheeseburgers, ham and cheese, French fries. It's all about the history, not necessarily the food.
