Cheap beer and food. Good eats and a great story about the billy goat curse. Nothing fancy, but a nice stop.

Love this joint! Tons of history. Great cheezborger cheezborger! Has a full bar! But no Pepsi. This is my sons favorite burger place.

On our first night in Chicago, our friends (from Chicago) took us to this tavern and filled us in on some of the fascinating history associated with it. It was evening and peak hour for traffic in Chicago with car parks being scarce. Finally we...More

Cheap beers and a decent burger make this a reliable place for late-night breaks. We tried the "curse breaker" burger, which was a generous double with roast onions, pickles, and chilies and set us back about a tenner. Beer was cheap, and that's the main...More

We stopped here before concert and cheap borgers! Great pictures and memorabilia up on walls. Fast service and lots of room.

We enjoyed our visit to Billy Goat Tavern. A regular cheese burger is just fine. Remember no fries, chips. It’s also one of the rare places you can get a coke, no Pepsi! A must if you’re visiting Chicago for the first time.

I have made 2 visits to Billy Goat Tavern on Michigan Ave on trips I have made to Chicago in the past 5 years. This is a must stop for those who enjoy the nostalgia of authentic Chicago and the famous SNL "Cheeseborger, Cheeseborger..." skit....More

An important thing to keep in mind is the Billy Goat is not on the main level of Michigan Ave. You have to go to the lower level. It is similar to the SNL skit. It is average food but my wife’s mixed drink was...More

We were tired of over priced tourist traps and found our way here. The Greek salad was surprisingly tasty, the selection of cold beers satisfying and the natives friendly. Who could ask for more?

Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan
Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent
Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago
River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out
neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the
place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with
shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and
dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale.

This place is more of a beer and burger restaurant, so I really wouldn't recommend it for breakfast.

Not sure, but I rather doubt it. Just regular bar food, cheeseburgers, ham and cheese, French fries. It's all about the history, not necessarily the food.

This historic greasy spoon is famous for its role in the legendary Curse of the Billy Goat on the Chicago Cubs and its "Saturday Night Live" cheezborger skit. Remember, no fries, chips!
