It was my 17 year old son's first taste of calzone and veal meetballs. He loved both and commented he wished his Italian father was with him to share the crusty bread. Honestly, I couldn't believe ho much he ate. He even commented the chicken soup was really good, and he's not so much of a soup eater.

Had a nice dinner on our first visit here- we opted for the price fix menu- the pear bruschetta was wonderful- as was the root vegetable risotto- the server was friendly and quite helpful- had the bread pudding for dessert- very nice meal- definitely would go back-/

We had a special chefs menu for Valentines night and it was delicious! We especially enjoyed the meatballs appetizer, salmon entre, and the beef tenderloin! Service was great and we enjoyed the ambiance.

I had my wedding dinner at Osteria Via Stato. The food was delicious and the service was phenomenal. I wish I could do it all over it again. It was a great experience. I worked with Michelle, the head of the event staff to coordinate the wedding dinner. She let me drop off tapered candles and place cards the day... More

Honestly, this restaurant blew us away. Our waiter was extremely helpful and knowledgable and we enjoyed every last bite of our dinners. The pasta was amazing and my husband said the steak was the best he has ever had! Portion sizes looked small but they were just right! Don't miss this restaurant if you are in Chicago. You won't be... More

Thank you for such a heartfelt and amazing review. We would have to agree with you on the steaks. In a sea of steak house in the city of Chicago, we get a ton of compliments on our Slagel farms Dry aged beef. We are lucky to get to work with such great local purveyors, and have such a talented... We were in a group of six people and really enjoyed the Restaurant Week Tasting Menu. The restaurant served a nice variety of food on the menu and it was plenty to eat. The red sauce on the meatballs was great. The service was nice and the wine list had a variety of price options. We will return to try... More

Three ordered pasta dishes and the pasta was done just right. Portions were generous as were the side dishes. Chicken was disappointing, chewy and didn't seem thoroughly cooked. Deserts are a must.

My wife and I sat outside here and drank mojitos and ate olives etc for like 4 hours this fall. It was fun. Food was good. Bartender was great. Atmosphere was fantastic. I'd recommend it.

We ate in the pizza part of the Osteria. This part of the restaurant is not as fancy and nice as the other part of the restaurant but it offers really good pizzas and I had one of the best octopus plates in the USA. Our waiter was not one of the nicest people, at least not to us, cause... More
