Had a large party of 18 for a dinner meeting. The service was excellent. Andrea did an amazing job. Food is very good, with large portions. After array of appetizers and salad, many people chose an appetizer for their main course, and they were large too. Debbie and Jacqueline were a big help in making all the arrangements. The private room... More

Cafe Bionda is an exquisite restaurant which serves authentic Italian dishes and is by far the best in Chicago and suburbs. The meatball salad appetizer is incredible. The Linguine, Shrimp and Broccoli is my favorite meal, served to perfection and the Veal Marsala is so flavorful and melts in your mouth. The service is impeccable and you are always treated... Our dinner was for a group of six. We had appetizers and main course. The portions were enough that we didn't order desert. We had a variety of entrées, steak, seafood, pasta, and seafood. Everyone claimed to have the best dish. We visited several restaurants this week but this one is the one not to miss. They even drove is... More

Perhaps because it was fairly late and the kitchen was about to close, the fare did not live up to the enthusiastic recommendation of our concierge at the Hyatt.

They have a great menu and staff that are always willing to answer any questions one may have. Their portions are great. The ambiance is also that of an authentic Italian-stay Chicago restaurant. We highly recommend visiting them when staying in Chicago.

It was mediocre food for high price. Also it was too loud. The bread was good tho'. The walk from the convention center was not bad.

I got the veal saltimbocca with an asparagus side. The veal was chewy, the sauce tasted like Campbell's tomato soup seasoned with some salt and pepper, and the asparagus was so hard I couldn't chew it, not to mention it was super salty. The only thing that was good was the linguini side. I shared feedback on the meal and... More

Recommended by the concierge at our hotel, we visited Café Bionda for dinner on a Friday evening. This is a family owned, Southern Italian restaurant that is clearly a local favorite from the number of regulars. The food was simply outstanding. Have the Banana Peppers stuffed with Italian sausage and Nana’s Gravy. Don’t question, just order this and you will... More

My husband and I spent a day in Chicago before going on to Osh Kosh, Wisconsin annual big air show event. A friend had recommended Cafe Bionda. The restaurant was a little dark, maybe for atmosphere. We started with the calamari which was quite good. I had a shrimp broccoli pasta dish that was better than I could have imagined... More
