I'm a Chinese and has been missing our own food for a long time. The dumpling小笼包(xiao long bao) is authentic.

I really hesitated to review this restaurant as I am not well versed in what is and what is not good Chinese food. I can tell you that we had several different types of dumplings and they were wonderful. This restaurant is surrounded by other Chinese restaurants in China Town and I have no idea if it's better or worse... More

Started off with salt/pepper/garlic chicken wings, which were crispy tasty. Then, had the housemade special pho & handmade seafood noodle bowls. seafood bowls was good. pho could've been better. service was quick & efficient.

Great cheap option if you are craving for some simple Chinese food in Chicago. This is not a place you go for ambience, but service was efficient and food was good. My hand-pulled noodles soup with pork & mushroom dumplings was very gratifying, and the portion very generous. Also impressed by how clean the washroom was! (Not always a case... More

Lunch was our visit recently. Order were Special Pho noodle bowls & chicken wings apps. The wings were hot & delicious, The Pho was not too good. Soup base tasted very oily. Service was decent.

A group of us were celebrating my dad's 80th birthday and he wanted to go here for lunch. He loves the Chinatown restaurants but didn't feel like Dim Sum this time, so we planned to come here. The place is known for it's variety of Chinese, Japanese, Thai food, sushi, and homemade noodles. Because there were 9 of us, we... More

When we visit Chicago, this is our first stop. Lots of choices, flavors deliver and food quality is better than other places we tried in the area. THE PLACE - Tucked away in the the new Chinatown area. Decor is simple and plain. Dishes, chop sticks, etc. are in new condition. It's always busy, but we get seated quickly. THE... More

This restaurant offers both northern and southern style Chinese food. It specializes in noodles and soup dumplings. Sushi and sashimi is also available. Hing Kee is our usual choice for noodles. The beef stew is good. The soup dumpling is the best in Chinatown. Noodles and dumplings are freshly made. Price is reasonable for the type of restaurant.

Our food came out extremely quickly. It was super hot & freshly made. The menu is quite large with many options for food (sushi, fresh noodles, soups..) & beverage (boba, shakes, coffees, etc). I ordered the sliced beef over rice. I had thought it would be a fried rice since the prior page header was Fried Rice, so I was... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown may be one of Chicago’s smallest neighborhoods geographically, but it's big on character, colors, sights, sounds, and flavors. In this South Side neighborhood, you’ll find authentic Chinese restaurants dotting the length of Wentworth Avenue. After a meal of dim sum, noodles, duck or other tantalizing food specialties, satiate your visual appetite with dozens of public art sculptures sprinkled throughout the neighborhood ranging from animal structures to pagodas, a tile mosaic, Chinatown Gate, and a Buddhist Temple.
