We stopped here just for late night drinks and loved it! The beer selection and specialty drink choices are great. The food we did not try but looked great! Will most definately return!

The Walnut Inn Speakeasy is an undiscovered local treasure. It's not a chain restaurant, which is one of the best features about it. For anyone, local or visitor, looking for delicious food, generous portions & moderate pricing, this is a great place to go. It has a kids' menu & is a nice place to go for family dining. I... More

Best fried pickles I ever had. They could spare a few more In the order. Good food. On the downside it was extremely noisy :(
Stopped in for a quick dinner and was very satisfied. It was a Saturday night and they had a chicken rib combo for 12.95. It was excellent. Drink prices are very reasonable. They remodeled the inside and it's very well done. The menu has lots of variety and they have a special every night.
The menu was filled with all sorts of brews which we had the pleasure of trying. Service was great at the bar we had Kylie and in regular dining. Southwest egg rolls are a must when you're there and there are plenty of specials daily.
I love this place and love the fact that they repurposed this great old building and made if vital again. I love their chicken salad sandwich and when I worked in Elgin my co-workers and I would order lunch from them and everyone really enjoyed their food.
Late lunch early dinner is what we stopped in for. I was told the place was family friendly and the burgers are good. Was very surprised to see how nice the place looked, pleasantly surprised. Our waitress was very nice, did feel that the food was a little slow considering the place was not yet busy. Had a burger, tasted... More
On the outside this restaurant does not look like much, but inside it is very nicely decorated. It is primarily a sports bar with a lot of TV's tuned to various sports activity. With the high ceilings, it is quite loud inside. The food was excellent with a special mention on the French Fries. They have a large beer selection... More
