Great pizza, best in Elmwood Park. Crust is light and flaky. Sausage is outstanding and sauce is just right. Simple dining area for eating in.

My family has a tradition of ordering pizza every Friday (not very healthy but it's worth it). We always order from Old World Pizza! Since we are from Chicago we only expect the best kind and they have one of the greatest deep dish and...thin crust pizza we've ever had! The atmosphere inside is very "mom and pop" which we LOVEMore

We had the a 14" deep dish with this amazing sausage (their recipe, we asked) and garlic. The sauce was fantastic. This is a diamond in the rough!! A must when visiting Chicago. I wish I lived here

I am a native born Chicagoan (though I live overseas), and I grew up with old school Chicago-style deep dish pizza in the 70's and 80's. This was back when there were no chains, and all the Chicago legends that you see in several locations...-- Giordano's, Lou Malnati's, etc. -- had only 1 or 2 restaurants. Many of those individual places are long gone or became watered down as they branched out, but some legends like Pequod's and My Pi are still around...but are far away from the West suburbs, where I stay when I visit. And then some greats, like Geppetto's, have simply gone downhill. Having ate them all for decades, I am admittedly a bit of a snob when it comes to deep dish pizza. I know what real Chicago-style deep dish-pizza is supposed to be, and I am unashamedly picky. When I return home from overseas, I want the good stuff. At the recommendation of my brother, I tried Paisan's, and soon afterwards found myself scolding him for abandoning our childhood pizza values that I thought we both held dear. He countered by chastising me for clinging to an ideal that he claims doesn't exist anymore -- except for Pequod's -- he told me to get over it...the only ones who care anymore are people like me....people who grew up in Chicago 30-40 years ago, but who moved elsewhere and expect things to be the same when I visited. I know where to get good pizza in the city, but it would be nice not to have to drive that far to get it. That search is over. Old World Pizza is genuine old-school Chicago-style deep dish pizza. Just off the northwest corner of Harlem and North, it took 45 minutes to make, with a crust nearly 2 inches high (but just enough to hold up the bottom), but this was the pizza I was looking for. I have found it; I am home. Contrary to my brother's claims, I know I am not alone. If you crave the original Chicago-style deep dish pizza that was more prevalent before the emergence of the hipster period of salmon and kale tacos on a quinoa tortilla, this is the place for you. Thank you, Old World Pizza, for keeping this kind of pizza alive. I am fat and happy and smiling.More

Saw the deep dish pizza on Chicago's Best. I love pizza and this deep dish is delicious. The sausage is amazing. Could have ordered a small for two of us but it was just as good as a leftover the next day. Small dining area....We are not from the area so we ordered and went next door to have a drink and 45 minutes passed quickly. Had a drink at the Chinese place probably would have cheaper to go to the slot machine café. The boss/owner? even came to find us when our pizza was done. Great pizza, great service, only downside is we couldn't have a cold beer with the pizza.More

We had the deep dish pizza from OLd World and it is like no other deep dish pizza. The crust is flaky with just the righ amount of crunch and it is not sweet, the same is true for the sauce which is piled on...abundantly but not overly done. The sausage is extremely flavorful and the pepperoni has a slight kick to it. We also ordered their thin crust pizza which is equally as good as the deep dish, that is if you like thin crust. Another thing we ordered is their garlic bread with cheese which is also very good. Great food and good value for the money, you won't be disappointed.More

Old World Pizza came to elmwood park when i moved there. We grew up together. We've shared memories together. The best memory I had was ordering the double deck pie. Two pizza's on top of each other, layered with cheese. That was a religious experience....They have very good pan pizza and thin crust. Recommend the sausage and pepperoni pizza. You'll thank me later for the double deck pie.More

I was hoping for more from a place called Old World Pizza. The pizza tasted like something you could get from the frozen aisle at the store or the movie theaters. Nothing special, just plain okay pizza.
