Went for dinner after my niece’s graduation & the waitress was great! She was laughing and joking with all of us and fit right in with the family. Food was really really good, great portions and taste!
My wife and I ate here with our family while we were in town. My dish, chicken parmesan was okay, but everyone else seemed to enjoy what they had. The wait staff was very friendly and gave us great service.
This Italian restaurant is the only one in metro-east with genuine Hill food. The service is personal & the owner John always checks on you to make sure all is right. Try the marinara dishes, especially the tilapia. The pastas are Hill quality. The capesi...salad is excellent.More
We were greeted and seated by the owner and served by Mary who instantly brought us water and the most delicious rolls. The rolls were warm, chewy, and light all at once! We ordered toasted ravioli for an appetizer, which was seriously the best I’ve...ever had. We tried the cannelloni and manicotti for the entrees and they did not disappoint! We also had salad which was the perfect portion and the dressing was excellent. This was our first visit and we will definitely be back! Amazing!!More
We just moved to IL from OH, and live down the road from Agostino’s... Decided to give it a try. All in all, good Italian food. The restaurant itself is very dated, and definitely needs major updating, but the owner and staff do an exceptional...job of putting out quality food and offering excellent service. I believe we were greeted by the owner who was very friendly, and promptly sat us at a booth. The restaurant wasn’t super busy, but they were steady and only had a few waiters/waitresses, so we had to wait a few minutes for service... No big deal, as waitress Christa was excellent — Friendly, accommodating, helpful, and working her tail off, while waiting on 5+ tables. The food itself was good, probably rate it a solid B... We ordered the toasted raviolis, Caesar salads, carbonara, and lobster raviolis, which all came out very hot and fresh. Unarguably the best part of our meal was desert; the cannoli and tiramisu were both excellent (on par with what you would get in NYC or Chicago). All in all, while the restaurant definitely needs major updates, the food is good quality and the customer service makes it easy to come back.More
Traveling through for one night, our hotel clerk recommended this and gave us a 15% off coupon! The atmosphere was lovely. We were promptly seated in a semicircular upholstered booth set for 2. We were immediately served very warm (and delicious) rolls with butter and...ice water.
Our server was busy but very helpful with suggestions, explanations and explanations of the menu items as well as standard Italian items not on the menu. I enjoyed my Caesar salad and Tortellini with meat sauce, peas and mushrooms. A glass of Chianti, recommended by our server, went nicely with the food. My husband’s pasta with meatballs was also delicious and both dishes remained HOT throughout our meal. The portions were generous enough to allow us to take some to go.More
