Being from the west coast, I am a definite sushi snob! This place is the best in IL and in the top 3 in Stl period. Sushi is very fresh & well made. I also love their salad! Mmm

As others have mentioned the outisde of the restaruant can be a little misleading as to where it is or how it will be (they did add a "now open" sign in the window to help you figure out where to go in). We went at 2:00 on a Sunday and we were the only ones there. The sushi was... More

As others have said, we drove past it- wife thought it was a car lot at first and then we weren't sure which door to go in(common entrance for 2 stores). Inside is very basic, but food and service was very good. Sushi and dinner very good and reasonable priced,

Go to Sushi Tatsu for the authentic Japanese food... sushi! It's fresh and delicious. I had three maki rolls, some miso soup and tofu tempura. Way too much food for one, but so good I almost finished it all. The tofu tempura were strips of delicate tofu lightly battered and fried to perfection. The dipping sauce was like a spicy... More

We decided to try some sushi in the mid west. Coming from NYC, we weren't too sure what to expect. Turns out, we made a great choice in choosing to dine here. The sushi was was fresh and delicious. The servers were very friendly and the atmosphere was great. I highly recommend this restaurant for a great sushi experience.

Don't be put off by the outside. Actually, the interior is not all that sophisticated either. But the sushi is the best in town in my opinion and the wait staff is excellent and friendly.

I guess Fairview Heights has too many restaurant options, because this place deserves more business! Certainly needs a facelift outside & it's lacking ambiance inside, but I didn't care...I was there for fresh, delicious sushi and that's what I got! We tried the dynamite roll, the calamari roll & the jalapeno roll. Yum! Beautifully presented too. Enjoyed every bite. Had... More

This is a very unassuming restaurant. Not much to look at inside or out but the sushi is fabulous! We had the lobster roll, probably one of the most expensive items on the menu (but well worth it), the dragon roll, squid salad and green tea. Great presentation and everything was yummy. And to top it off, after our meal... More

It is shocking there is sushi this good in Southern Illinois. It is so fresh, delicious, and artfully prepared. Writing this review makes me want another Yummy Roll really bad. The atmosphere and service are very relaxing. Quiet and low key. If you are like me and detest the subpar chain food, give Sushi Tatsu a try. You will not... More
