Filios serves solidly traditional Greek cuisine with an emphasis on quality and flavor. They grow and grind their own wheat for their breads, which are proudly brought to the table fresh from the oven. The house wines are crisp and refreshing. The service is friendly and enthusiastic. All dishes are made with locally grown and sourced produce and meats. An... More

Our group of 7 arrived for our 9pm booking to a very full and busy restaurant. Delightful garden setting under a welcoming Mulberry tree set the tone for a relaxing delicious evening. The family run eatery supplied us with local Kitherian mezzes as starters washed down with local wines. The Kitherian salad and fava were standouts with the dolmades with... More

We couldn't really understand why the Greek salad was so expensive comparing to other restaurants on the island and considering the fact that such vegetables are very easily found in Greece during the summertime. Nevertheless, it is an "attraction" in Kythera, every single person... More

Real genuine greek cuisine. Opens at 16:00. Once we came at 16:01, and it was already crowded. Authentic greek taverna, exellent food, very good service.

I appreciate the meats of chicken. . Rabbit. . But potatoes and pasta were not well cooked. . Pasta was overcooked and fry potatoes were not just done. .. the place and the service are good but I think you have to pay attention also at littles things. .. obergine with cereals were cold. . :-)

Dining here is worth the trip no matter where you stay on Kythira. We went after a day at the Chalkos Beach. Food, service and ambience were great. A must do. The stuffed vine leaves were great. The homemade wine was not the best we have had. An overall excellent experience .

If you visit kythera you should definitely visit filio. If you visit filio, you will definitely visit it again. No matter how many times you visit this fantastic restaurant... There will always be space for more; at least till you try each and every plate. Mousaka was our favorite (we tried it the third time)!!

It is a must go restaurant if you visit Kythira. We had lunch there twice and both times the experience was excellent. The dishes we tried where delicious and the service of the highest quality. The story of the restaurant is also amazing. A good example of how to make a difference in a small village by innovations whilst respecting... More
