This by far was the best breakfast restaurant I visited while in Galena. Full menu with some unique favorites. The biscuit and gravy was as good as it gets. Off the beaten path a little but well worth the time to go and eat

We really appreciate your review! We make our biscuits from scratch and we use all organic pork sausage for our gravy. Glad you had a good time! Thanks for your visit and we hope to see you again! John More

Excellent food and atmosphere. Apple quiche 👌. Great home made breads. And a mimosa to boot. Right by the railroad tracks.

We make as much as possible in house from scratch and we are so happy you enjoyed your visit! Dan makes some sort of quiche every day so there is always something new to try. Thanks for your review and we look forward to seeing you again! John More

Every time we come in here we are greeted with a huge smile, a joke, and laughter. One of the owners works the front and is super attentive, constantly anticipating what we might need and having his staff hop on it. The environment is historic. It's across from the original train station and on the rail line. The place is... More

We were there in the winter. The first floor was drafty and they were not allowing seating on the second floor. Perhaps a visit during warmer weather would prove to be a better choice. We had read the reviews and were excited to sample their fare. Perhaps our expectations were too high. We were underwhelmed with the food. Service was... More

I really wanted to like this place. A year ago I stopped here for dinner but was turned away because they were having a private fundraiser, so we came back on this visit for lunch. It was Sunday and they were only serving breakfast. I appreciated the waitress letting us know this as we sat down in case it was... More

We had breakfast at Otto's Place on our last day in Galena. It was the perfect way to end our trip. Otto's Place is across the river from the hustle and bustle of main street and offers a beautiful view of the town. The food was great! It's home-style breakfast food that's just as wonderful as if your mom or... More

My boyfriend and I usually visit Otto's Place before we road trip back home and this is the perfect place to end a wonderful and relaxing vacation in Galena. The back story is fascinating and the food is delicious! I had the homemade biscuits topped with sausage and eggs and homemade sausage gravy and my boyfriend had the corned beef... More

The sweet potato hash was marvelous, I could eat that for breakfast every morning. Service was quick and we liked the atmosphere. There were so many amazing items on the menu that we will definitely go back every time we are in Galena!

Highly recommend this for breakfast or brunch/lunch. It has a wonderful back story, great food and a modest philosophy, which is consistently expressed throughout the experience of eating there. Quiet and tastefully decorated, the place has a friendly, young, and efficient staff and the menu offers some unique flavor pairings which work [at least the gorgonzola, apple, bacon omelet i... We went in with another couple and we all had different dishes for breakfast and they were all fantastic. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I know it's off Main Street in Galena but it's worth a little walk to go there to have a great breakfast.
