Food is great, soups are best in town. Plenty of seating. Better than Triangle restaurant den the street, cozier and less crazy.

You'll never get a horrible meal but you'll also never get a good meal. Typical Greek style diner. The waitstaff are gross and not presentable. They either stink of cigarette smoke, have dirty fingernails or are missing all or most of their teeth. How can you expect people to eat when the servers look like drug addicts and homeless people?... More

My family goes here once a month with my mother-in-law. They have a good menu including a senior menu specials, friendly staff, and while busy is usually a short wait. For 5 people it's usually about $70.

Hillside is just a good place for consistently delicious food from breakfast to lunch. The breakfasts are typical as are the sandwiches. They also serve alcohol. If you're looking for a great breakfast or lunch in a light and airy venue, the Hillside is your restaurant.

My very first and last visit! The gyros was very, very dry. In fact it not only looked and tasted very dry, I thought that it probably had been part of a frozen package of gyros meat and not freshly cut from a gyros rotisserie. I ended leaving most of the gyros on my plate as I found it unpalatable.... More

I have been here several times for lunch (only ordered salads and they were delicious) This time I came for lunch but ordered breakfast and it was wonderful. I ordered a custom omelette, and it was so good. Cheap to eat there. I really like it. It is not fine dining but it is perfect for a quick meal at... More

Reasonably priced food. Their pancakes are excellent. They have changed up their bacon though and it looks and tastes like microwave bacon. Their bread basket is a great idea but it's hard and old. They say delivered fresh everyday by the bakery but it's old. Like knock on the wood old. Please change your bakery. I had a hot dog... More

Though the staff is very friendly, this place is slipping. From the lengthy menu full of choices, I chose an open face turkey sandwich. Though it had melted cheese, it was dry and tasteless. The dining room is clean and OK. The bathrooms are worn, stalls rusty and stinky. But folks don't go here for the bathroom. I think folks... More

Went there for dinner. Maybe breakfast is better. How does this place stick around? The food is terrible, but it always has customers. Waitress was rude and abrupt. Food was dry and tasteless.

Stopped in to have breakfast. This place is another fine breakfast restaurant in Grayslake. The food is always good. Lots of choices on the menu and everything is good.

Thank Christine L
