Great place to eat on a budget and friendly. The service was a little slow but it was easy to get to and a nice quiet place to sit and eat.

The food is was average but the place was loud and filthy. The service was less than ideal but they were busy.

I can't eat here all the time I would be twice my size! I like the country store charm that keeps you busy while you wait for a table. The biscuits are my favorite. They just fall apart when you eat them!

Had a standard Sunrise sampler, average quality. Food cooked well and servers was not a morning person. Food is reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere

In the last six months or so I have noticed a change in the level of service and freshness of the food. My daughter and I always liked to treat ourselves to breakfast or lunch at Cracker Barrel because it was good, friendly and the right price. The servers are still very nice (most of them) but seem to be... More

Stopped in with the family after shopping further north. We waited at least 10 minutes to sit. Strange thing was that when we did get seated, it wasn't even full. Anyway, our server took our order fast, and brought our drinks relatively fast, but it was downhill from there. Our meals took seemingly forever. I think we waited 30 minutes.... More

We took my mother here for dinner. Got seated quickly but the experience went downhill from there. When our meals came out only one was right. My fish dinner was cold, the grits looked like runny snot and my mother's meal was missing a piece of ham. the waiter was missing in action for some time. When he finally showed... More

Sometimes, this Cracker Barrel isn't up to par - we've had good service and good food and other times, not so much of either. We've had to wait to be waited on when there are very few people in the restaurant and the food was mediocre with no refill on tea. Normally, I like Cracker Barrel ... this one is... More

Make sure you at least try this place once if you're in the Gurnee area. I can eat breakfast at 10p and you'd think it was 1st thing in the morning. Always Fresh!! Great staff!

Food were great, typical american food. My American friend always told me that you are in the US if you had eaten at Carcker Barrel. I had bacon half cheeseburger and it was tasty, and the soup as an appetiser was great as well. I will try something else for sure in the future. The restaurant ambience is also nice... More
