The food here is amazing! We just returned from Mexico. We strongly feel that Casa de Issac had better more authentic food. The service is great too. We try to eat there at least twice a month. The owner is a great guy and you can often find him there working. If you visit and find it full try the... More

Freshly prepared, generous portions, and reliably good. Only down side are Friday nights in the summer.

We really enjoyed the atmosphere, the food on the other hand left a lot to be desired. Let's see, how do I best describe what was so poorly described in the menu? To start, we ordered guacamole and chips. The avocados that were used were a bit past their use by date. Our mahi mahi tacos, which were described as... More

Most Mexican restaurants most places are going to serve "trayff", which is a Yiddish word indicating it is not only non-Kosher, but it is the sort of food that can never be made Kosher. Pork is clearly one of those prohibited sorts of food. There are no pork products because this large Mexican family are Jews, and are more observant... More

My wife and I joined a group of friends to celebrate a birthday at La Casa de Isaac, which was our first time at the restaurant. The organizer of the event had a range of food that came out, so we ended up trying the chicken fajitas, sweet-glazed salmon, and the marinated skirt steak, along with sides of rice and... More

We saw a Groupon for this restaurant and visited. The food was exceptionally great and the service was just as great. My friend was thrilled that their ladies night margarita was prepared with a top brand tequila. The chicken enchilada soup was the best I've had in this market. Another visitor at another table who was enjoying their first meal... More

Yes there are Kosher Mexicans and yes they've opened a restaurant north of Chicago in Highland Park. Excellent service, good food. Try it.

We have been eating here for years. It is always consistent and delicious! Isaac is a gem. They also have a wonderful grocery store around the corner!

Our regular mole' spot. Drinks are great as tequila selection is superior. Staff treatment is like family, huggs and all. NO BAGGED CHIPS, fresh and hot with guacamole adaptable to every palate. Breakfast is the best..nice selection and so consistent. Myself, I treasure mole' on my chicken skillet with onions and potatoes.
