The food is delicious and the service is over the top. If you like meat the steak al forno is the way to go, tender strip sirloin topped with cheese and garlic, my girlfriend had the hay and straw for the pasta lover in you.

Sad to say that we were disappointed in Washington Gardens. I had the sausage patty with peppers and it was swimming in a pool of oil/grease. In retrospect, I should have asked for a couple of paper towels to soak up the unwanted oil. The chicken Vesuvio had an odd taste; the mushroom pasta was dry and the pizza was... More

Two of us for dinner. The veal marsala is a favorite dish of mine. Though a knife is provided to cut the meat, I put it aside and cut the meat with my fork. Now that is tender veal. The veal marsala is served with beans on the side, as well as pasta, and the meal comes with a salad.... More

This is by far the best thin crust pizza in Chicago but last night, granted a bust night but always busy ordered non pizza since too long of a wait for pizza but server took down wrong salad and dinner entree. I've seen mistakes before which can happen but the entire owner from salad to entree. Well let's just say... More

A popular local Eatery. The menu selections include most typical Italian dishes as well as pizza. They often have a few special selections as well.

We haven't been here in a few years and now we know what we missed. We sat in the front bar area which has booths which are very comfortable. The bar is nice for eating or watching TV (dated and small TV). There are tables in the back area seperated from the bar. Very attentive service where the servers and... More

We went to dinner here with a large extended family. Everyone came away happy! They serve everything from pizza to elegant pasta dishes. The portions are large--yeah! Lunch tomorrow. Service was great. The atmosphere is traditional Italian kitchen. Nothing fancy. Prices are reasonable.

Made from scratch, family recipe Italian cuisine in Highwood since 1932, and at it's current location since 1982. Serving a selection of Fresh Seafood delivered daily including our very popular Prince Edward Island Steamed Mussels. Also, we offer some of the best thin crisp crust pizza, which was the first pizza served on the North Shore at Scornavacco's since 1944. All the classics are here, homemade pastas, hand carved and pounded out chicken and veal parmigiana, limone, piccata, and of course lasagnas, meatballs, and of course homemade desserts.
