Nasty napkins, nasty silverware, and a really sad excuse for a Cobb Salad. Don't bother complaining, management is protected by a long term lease of a beautiful state properly.

This is one of my husband's favorite fried chicken dinners (except mine of course)! Love everything from the food to the atmosphere.

The Giant City Lodge is a building built by the WPA during the Great Depression. (That's the one in the 1930's, not the recent recession.) It has the atmosphere of the hotels one finds in the big national parks out west, but it's not a...More

We ate here on our last night. As other reviews have stated the chicken is awesome. Family style however was way too much food and much food was wasted. Grilled and fried catfish were both excellent. All in all a good meal except for the...More

The Fried Chicken dinner is family style and fantastic! The lodge is very nice and picturesque and is well worth the drive from Carbondale...the rest of the menu is just so-so, but the chicken is to die for!

Came there after Church for some fried chicken. The Kelley's are awesome, they make sure everything is top notch. Everything is reasonably priced, considering how much food you get, fried chicken, dumplings, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, and dinner rolls.

This Lodge is so picturesque. The dining experience is heightened by the interesting architecture of a Lodge built during the Great Depression. The food is good. We always get the fried chicken which is served family style but there are other choices such as chicken...More

I don't think they allow pets. I am providing you with their phone number just to be sure. (618) 457-4921. They are there on the weekends, so you should get a response, if you call today.
