Great BBQ, has a variety of things to order, however it is a pricey menu. $$ Good food and atmosphere.

Vet nice place with great bbq, excellent service, and friendly/ helpful staff. Pork steak was good, brisket almost better. Reasonable prices.

17th Street is a Southern Illinois staple. I prefer the original location in Murphysboro, but this one is good too. It is well taken care of. The food is good. For what you get, it's a little pricey, but that comes with the reputation and...More

Great real. BBQ. Try the brisket or BBQ sandwich or turkey chef salad. Don't forget to try the potato skins and the fresh made pork skins! 👍🏻

Love the bbq of course, but I really love the bbq nachos and bbq salad! Lots of different choices on the menu too.

Stopped on our way to northern Illinois. Was a good choice for a nice meal in a casual atmosphere. The meal was ample!

Atmosphere was good, service was fine, good menu choices but prices were out of line for the area: $4.95 for 1 baked potato was outrageous. It's a potato. All you do is throw it in the oven for an hour. It's not creme broulee.

The food was excellent and the service was superb. I went back again the second night I was in Marion. I rarely eat two nights in a row at the same place when I'm traveling.

On our way to Wisconsin and stopped in for their 'best thing i ever ate ' ribs. $18 for the half rack and they were cold and dry. Have had much better ribs at many other places. This tasted like passable cafeteria food. On the...More

Good quality ribs. They have won many prizes. Vinegar slaw is different. Service was fair. Enjoyed it but a little pricey.

Illinois was recently named one of "11 Top BBQ Cities in America" by Thrillist, thanks to 17th Street. Mike Mills and his crew are proud to support and shine a spotlight on Southern Illinois, sharing the gospel of barbecue and their delicious food both in Southern Illinois and nationwide. At 17th Street, barbecue is a culture, not a concept. The restaurant is a community gathering place where guests become family. Rooted in history and family, their delicious barbecue smoked using local apple wood and their famous Magic Dust(R). Owner Mike Mills has devoted his life to the pits and is considered by his peers a true pioneer, legend, and leading force in the barbecue world.
