Very good seafood, especially the mussels. I recommend the mossels naar oud familierecept. The staff is friendly and attentive, the sommeliers are a great help when chosing the wine. The menus are exquisit but not on the cheap side. You get what you pay for and it‘s worth every penny.

Went for lunch with our business partner, who knows the place very well. I personally was amazed over their food selection and can honestly say, that des Moules is among the best seafood restaurants I have ever been to. Can’t wait to come back next time. Verbrugge cognac was a really nice gift!

The place is in the netherlands but in the restaurant 90% of the guest talk with a Flemish accent. No wonder. They love mussels and apart from preparing them at home they come to this tiny village full with mussel restaurants and this since decades.cooking mussels needs experience if you want them to open all at the same time without they become like a chewing gum. at the Auberge they know how to do it. Apart from mussels there are some other dishes but the choice is not vast. There is a long wine list but the list of beers is short although being close to the Flemish border. The portions are large, the taste was excellent, the personnel is quick and helpfull.

This is my 2nd time here with my husband and his third time. He came there a first time with coworkers he loved the mussels there a lot so we stop there on our way to long week-end away from Belgium to Vlissingen. Unfortunately no English or French translation of the menu so I think it’s more geared towards the locals, you can see that many of the locals eat there and they have a special warm welcome. Food is cooked well but just average nothing special, the cocktail fait maison was too strong I did not like it. staff is ok but not very friendly if you are not dutch speaking in my opinion.

Philippine is a village known for mussels. Since centuries probably, because long time ago it was quite near the sea. It probably has the highest turnover of mussels per square meter in the whole world, which guarantees a unequaled level of freshness. There are about 5 or more mussels restaurants on the main square. Auberge des Moules is in the centre of them. Very friendly service, excellent location and terrace, best moules in the world without contest. Don’t even consider moules au vin, with curry or with cream. Moules nature, and you will taste how a mussel should taste. Probably better than the rice pudding with golden spoons they serve in Heaven.

Just at the beginning of the season several days ago we especially visited this restaurant for the “ oosterschelde kreeft” and we have not been disappointed. We had a menu with crab legs from the Nord sea, oysters, shrimps and lobster bisque. All dishes were so well prepared and tasteful. The vegetables asparagus hmmm great taste as well. The wine was a great combination. All the dishes on the menu in this restaurant are in the season and delicious. I can recommend this restaurant to all food lovers.

Superb Been many times and love the food. Please do change the set menu though. Bored of Ray. Years ago they had eel and devil fish. Still, order a Sancerre and tuck into really good fish.

This place is a classic fish and mussel restaurant. It serves perfect seafood, with shellfish at its best. We loved the oysters and the house speciality mussels (moules) are a real treat! The owner and staff are really friendly and make you feel at home. Worth a visit! And so is the region.

Staff and service was wonderful. We ordered some starters than a family recipe mussel to share. But even we shared it was still too much and we were full with their incredibly delicious mussels.

I would return to this restaurant. Not everyone in our group had mussels, but all the food was good.

This restaurant provides excellent service with excellent quality foid. Located in a nice little town that gets swamped for their fish and seafood. Highly recommend the mussels to their old family recipe! Love it more and more every time I visit!

We were a bit disappointed when we saw no 'moules' on the menu.. Luckey enough, their answer was quiet logic - 'only served when at their best'! As a 'try out' we ordered the basic menu which satisfied our needs..Not cheap (42,5eur) but fair and in relation with their 13/20 in Gault Milliau 👌
