I love the cozy neighborhood feel the service and the food. It was our first visit. I will return as the full menu was interesting. We had two appetizers and an entry...

We stopped by Taste of Brazil to try something different for lunch. It's a small cosy authentic restaurant and we enjoyed it. We started with the chicken rice soup - amazing! That was hearty enough really that we didn't need the selection of beef and chicken sides. We had coxinha, beef pastel, shrimp risole, and kibe, way too much food...but it... More

I went here for a late lunch one day. This an informal kind of hole-in-the-wall restaurant. I had a coxinha - excellent. Well-made, maybe better than in Brazil. Kibe - also pretty good (hard to mess that up though). Moqueca with rice - the rice is really good, cooked with onion and coconut. The fish in the moqueca was perfectly... More

Food snobs from Chicago don't think we should ever trek out to the suburbs for awesome ethnic food. Not even kinda-suburbs like Oak Park or Evanston. Make the trip for this place. Feijoada completa and shrimp bobo were DELICIOUS, but save room for dessert! You have to get the flan cake and prestigio cake (chocolate cake with dense coconut filling... More

Tried this place when it first opened and thought it was ok. Reading the sterling reviews on the internet, I decided to give it a try again. Sadly, my initial impression was not far off. The best think we had there was the spectacular lentil soup. I will go back for that but probably not for anything else I had.... More

I think we went to Taste of Brasil more than 3 times, the food was amazing (and reminds a lot our brazilian food). There are so many options (fish, meat and chicken), including the most famous brazilian dish: feijoada. They sell "brigadeiros", the best dessert on earth :) also an amazing chocolate cupcake. Definitely I will go when visit Chicago... More

I am surprised that this isn't listed as one of the top restaurants in Oak Park. Just south of the I-290 expressway on Oak Park Ave., this small store front can easily be missed. By all means, don't let it. From the friendliness of the staff, the freshness of the food, great presentation, and amazing flavors, it is really one... More

We were headed to the Oak Park Conservatory and needed a bite to eat, we drove past and saw this place so circled the block and parked in front. A small clean store front with a few tables and highboys. The staf greeted is with friendly hello and we sat by the front window. We started with the Coxinha and... More

This is a small little cafe with big flavor. Salgados 3.25 ea 3.25 ea I had the Coxinha - very good. Also had a beef Risole - my favorite. Service was friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere was comfortable, but the highlight is the food. Within easy walking distance from the Oak Park older neighborhoods.
