Jim's is a great example of how the classics never go out-of-style. Excellent menu - a mix of traditional favorites and a few innovative choices. Solid bar ... great service.

Jim’s is a great pre Civic Center place to dine. It’s a relaxing atmosphere and the food is always good although the service has its ups and downs. There are a couple of older servers who always seem tired and grouchy.

I would strongly recommend Jim’s for a business or leisure lunch or dinner, because the food is just excellent. From a price perspective, it isn’t out of line and I would recommend this location (chain) in a heartbeat. The downside is the staff. For as...More

Jim’s never disappoints. It’s an old school steakhouse with beautiful decor. The steaks are delicious. The twice baked potato is fabulous. The live piano music is such a nice touch and adds to the wonderful ambience. It’s a great restaurant for a date or special...More

Filet and lobster. I've had better lobster but their steak was better than Alexander's! Great staff. Great drinks... food was quick and accurate!

Great food with a 'rat-pack' ambiance. I had a ribeye so juice and temder it was amazing. Servine was exceptional and all enjoyed the mean.

Greeted promptly and seated at table. Promptly served with beverages. Chose buffet which was laid out nicely and selections looked very enticing, especially the dessert table! Wait staff very attentive and friendly.

Try to go somewhere different each year so we decided on Jim’s. Mary our waitress is the only reason I rated it above average. Drinks and salad were great by the $50+ Porterhouse steak was a mistake. Ordered it medium and it was not cooked...More

The restaurant is absolutely lovely. The service was spectacular. Parking was available out front on the street. I didn't care for what I ordered, but that was my fault, not the restaurant's.

We drove around wondering where to eat dinner and we decided on Jims, one of the top notch restaurants in Peoria. We were seated promptly at a nice table with plenty of room as the waitress promptly took our drink order. The harpist was playing...More

There is no strict dress code. What you feel comfortable in would work well. The booths are high backed and very secluded so I doubt anyone would see your clothing anyway - I loved the privacy they afforded.
