Went to Gillmore's on Sunday to meet a friend expecting good home cooked food. Not so. The broasted chicken was dry and stringy. The mashed potatoes were from a box and had that horrible taste of fake potatoes. The gravy was from a can. My...More

Ate breakfast here three days in a row and wasn't disappointed. Food was typical of a small town diner and good quality. Sunday breakfast buffet was busy and good value. Old plates and kitchenware on display are an extra treat. Good service.

If you've never been to the area before try a Horseshoe or the smaller Pony for your meal. It's a heart attack on a plate but quite tasty!

When our family camps at the park in New Salem, we always have breakfast here. The food is good, the coffee is great, and a lot of the locals eat here.

The atmosphere for the Sunday Lunch Buffet is an old fashioned/down home feeling with home town/home cooked buffet. How about comfort foods like: southern fried chicken, country ham, roast beef, dressing, gravy, corn, rolls, bread pudding, pie? Try Gillmore's Café now known as Kati's Kitchen....More
