This is a fifties style diner with a great group of employees. All of the waitresses were friendly and efficient and Gus was working with them and introducing himself to anyone he did not know. Great customer service. Service was great and the pricing was reasonable. The amount of food was very large. I had the biscuits and gravy with... More

If your looking for comfort fifties type food this is the place to visit for lunch. We had tuna melt which was very good, and I would recommend along with french fries was good.

Gus' is a weekly stop for us and a friend. The menu is extensive and there is something for everyones's taste buds. From something on their list of "specials" which includes soup or salad, bread basket, entre, coffee and dessert to breakfast or a taco bowl salad. Highly recommend. Their baklava is the best!

We tried this place for lunch on our way home from the dentist. Both the soups (vegetable and chicken rice) and the sandwiches (Greek wrap and chicken panini) were tasty. The sandwiches came with a decent amount of chicken. Service was fine although the place wasn't that busy. The only thing that made us sad was the lack of any... More

this place popped up a few years back. The staff are super friendly, the prices are pretty reasonable, the décor is attempted 1950’s diner which I guess it pulls off fairly ok. The menu is an array of breakfast stuff and some lunch selections (sandwiches etc). Most recently, I had the “ole omelet”…cheese, chorizo, I think some cilantro…overall, I was... More

A group of us go here for a decent Sunday breakfast and they have a nice tasting chicken and rice soup on Sunday's we all seem to enjoy it. The place can be crowded so you may have to wait for a seat on Sunday morning. They also have good sandwich's too!

My kids beg to go here. The highlight for them is the cream of chicken and rice soup! They love it. There are daily specials, great service and fantastic sandwiches. Plus there really is a Gus:) Try it , you will love it.

Gus's Diner is one of our favorite Rolling Meadows restaurants. We are usually greeted by Gus when we arrive and seated in one of the comfy booths reminiscent of our malt shop memories from the sixties. You may choose to be seated at the lunch counter as well or at the large tables for big parties. Many of the friendly... More

Went to breakfast here. Waited 15 minutes for a booth (needed the booth due to my hip condition). Hostess then gave the booth to someone who just walked in and forced us over to table with greasy, dirty, flimsy plastic chairs that were killer on my hip. Stuck in a corner with greasy dirt building in the corners of the... More
