I visited the Palmer arms with my daughter-in-law, who had eaten there previously. I was so delighted and amazed, when having been seated, that the owner came to our table. I explained that I have Coeliac disease, and cannot eat gluten. He said that the restaurant tries to avoid using gluten in most of it's dishes, where possible. He went... More

Excellent lunch. I had the fish pie from the "specials" and my friend enjoyed her chicken breast with creamy mash. Delightful staff and very friendly atmosphere. We only had tea and coffee as we were driving but we will be sampling their wine list in the future?

It's a really nice pub, lovely restaurant area that has recently been updated creating a warm, pleasant setting. The food was adequate and tasty. The only off putting this was we were sat by the... The Palmer Arms has just reopened following a fresh refurbishment. I've been going to the country pub and restaurant on and off for over 25 years as I am local. The welcome was as good as ever, the food was fab. The customer service was excellent, I'm gluten free and had mistakingly ordered a dish that contained gluten, the owner... More

My girlfriends and I go here regularly when we have our catch up evenings. There is always a really good atmostphere, always quite busy so advisable to book in advance, there's a good selection of food as well as daily specials, and decently priced.

Not our first visit to The Palmer Arms but it's been a while since we have visited. The staff were very accommodating & moved us to an alternative table at our request just to make it easier with two small children. They also served the children's food at the same time as our starters which meant we had two happy... More
