This was suggested by our hotel, and it was the best recommendation. The food was absolutely amazing. 10/10 we would recommend it. Cash only.

I have been to this restaurant before and each time had an excellent meal each time. The only disappointment was I wanted the lamb stew but it was not available. My friend tried the paella which came in a huge bowl. I had the fried chicken which was delicious. One of the more popular restaurants in varadero.

How this restaurant has any positive reviews is beyond me, I would give it a zero if I could. The food was terrible and the pirate theme was cheesy. I ordered tuna and it was literally a pile of canned tuna (see pic). The prices were QUADRUPLE what any other place was and the food was pretty much inedible. We are convinced they have a separate menu for tourists because there’s no way the local people are paying prices like that. They try and upsell like crazy to the point where it was forceful. I worked in a restaurant and I understand the process, but it was over the top. And when we finally convinced her we didn’t want anything else she brings out INCENSE BURNERS and tried to sell us those! It took us 10 mins to finally get a bill, and it was 70 CUC, whereas every other dinner we had in Santa Marta was 20-25 max. She then reminded us that gratuity wasn’t included. Save yourself the feeling of being robbed and go to Atlandia or Patio Bar. Much better food, prices, and atmosphere.

Well hidden and kept secret that you need to discover. Food delicious and abundant, traditional Cuban cuisine , restaurant located away from hustle and bustle of touristic Cuba . Recommend sea food soup awesome. Staff just want to please and accomodate requests and careful with allergies, one of our party had sea food allergies. Cash only no credit card but accept Canadian dollar. Just tell them Claire sent you and relax and enjoy.

My dad, husband, and 2 friends we met in Cuba came here for dinner. It was a small quaint place. The service was great. The plating was stunning. I had the fried chicken and wanted to go back for more. Everyone else had steak and lobster and were happy, but not blown away. The women received flowers and everyone got a El Mojito plaque as a keep sake. The cost was $$$$. The bill came and we were told they were charged 10% from the government. Like a tax. Later we were told this is false. So they got a little better tip then we expected.

This restaurant was a welcome change from the buffet at the all-inclusive resort. It was recommended by the hotel staff (perhaps they get a kick back?). The staff were friendly and can speak English. The service was quick and the food was delicious! They had a violinist and guitarist playing this particular evening who were enjoyable to hear. It was a little pricey but worth the experience. A must try at any restaurant is the plantains, sometimes called fried bananas.

Hi went to this restaurant with family and friends booked by our hotel unfortunately they recommended this and arranged it for us all tho the food was good it was really expensive around £50 each for a main course and a few drinks they then charged government tax on top of the bill around £90.00 seeing that is not a government owned restaurant this was a con didn’t find out to we got back to hotel. All the staff try to get you to go there as they get kick backs don’t mind people maki g a bit on the side but very annoyed as we looked after all the staff and this was not that great of a place much better in town I suggest book your own restaurant as where ever they recommend there’s a high price to pay

Nice restaurant with very attentive staff. Expensive for the area, but it was worth the money. Lobster was very well prepared and fresh.

We were originally going to go to Varadero 60 for some steak and lobster. Two of the beach staff told us to go to El Mojito and are we ever glad that we did. 20 minute cab ride from Melia Americas. When we arrived at 6:45 we were the first couple in the restaurant. 2 rooms with 4-5 tables each and a patio with 1-2 tables. Very nice, clean and a real "family atmosphere". Service was excellent. Complimentary Bread Toast "garlic bread" and 2 steak and lobster dinners with Cuban Rice and a bottle of white wine. The steak and lobster was cooked to perfection, presented nicely with a rose made out of a carrot, and the food was served hot and timely. My wife received a rose, and we were given 2 ceramic plates with the name of the restaurant on them. The server's English was good and she answered lots of questions. The restaurant slowly filled up as we left at approx 8:00pm. $100 CUC + tip for a fantastic meal / experience was the best money we spent on vacation. Can not recommend this restaurant enough.

I recently went to Varadero. Had the worst experience of any Cuban holiday ever! Was robbed, bad times with hotel, and was just unpleasant all around. However, on my last night there, extended for paperwork to leave, I ha the pleasure of being asked to join some fellow travellers for dinner out.Since I was alone, this was very welcome. We chose El Mojito for seafood or chicken. The ambiance was lovely, the restaurant was cute, authentic, and the food was fabulous! I had the fish stew and chicken. Wanted lobster, but was unsure if I could handle it, after such a stressful 10 days. The soup was fabulous!. I didn't eat the chicken as I was too full, so we gave it to our taxi driver, who had recommended the place. But it looked great, and the presentation was lovely! The service was excellent, and if we ever go back to Varadero, which is unlikely, I will certainly go again. A great ending to an otherwise very poor trip. I will go back to Cuba, though!

The fish soup and lobster tail were outstanding. Each time I visit Varadero I make a special trip to this restaurant. It's small so reservations might be a good idea
