We like to camp at the causeway and always have to get Dusty’s pizza. Excellent hand made pies and they do not go cheap on the ingredients. They also have other sandwich items but we go for the pizza. Stop in this quaint little spot...you will not regret it.More
.....As we travel the scenic back roads in our Mustangs we are always on the hunt for good local eateries and we found a good one in the lil city of Thomson IL while overindulging on the "Great River Roads" celebrating our 54th anniversary.
We...had motel reservations at the Knights Inn just North of Thomson.
Our anniversary rib-eye steak dinner was awesome and included a very good salad bar and a small loaf of fresh home-made break... ememgood..()()
The waitress Jenny was super nice.
This lil family diner was doing a brisk business on a Wednesday evening.
The name is somewhat misleading as this diner offers good breakfast, lunch and
dinner meals, oh and pizza too...
Check em out, you will be glad you did and they will appreciate your patronage.

We love going here for the pasta and salad bar. Service isn't always perfect, a bit slow sometimes but we are tolerant and will even get up and get our own napkins, etc.
Try the lasagna! Great for small town place!
Our son loves this place so he took us there. We were very impressed. I had the hamburger steak and mashed potatoes. Wow, it was so delicious and huge. I had enough for dinner the next day. Their salad bar is very good also. For...a small town diner this is a great place to eat.More
My wife and i have eaten at dusty's once before and thought they had god food. So this Sunday we took my brother and his wife there for a early dinner. The place was a little busy but we still got a table being most...of the people already had their food. We all ordered the lasagna and a pop. First it took 25 minutes before the waiter figured out he never got our pop, then it took over an hour to get the lasagna, then we were informed they were out of bread that comes with the meal, then to top it all off the lasagna was ice cold in the center. we paid for the pop we drank half of and walked out to never return. My parents ran a mom and pop for 30 + years and this is not how you run a restaurant.More
