We try to come here every time we visit the area. The food is always great. They have a few rooms to hold a larger crowd and tables in the bar area as well. Their pizza is one of the best!

Al's pizza has been around forever. This was my first time there. All they have is pizza, nothing else. If you like pizza this is your place to go. Thin crust and delicious, I had mushrooms and half sausage. The building is connected to the Towne Tap, you have to walk through a door and get alcohol. Nothing fancy, simple... More

Very small place, not clean in my opinion. There were 4 of us. ordered a small pepp and med sausage, mushroom. It took 45 minutes (we arrived at 4:45) the med pizza was missing the sausage, told server he took $$ off bill. Servers not friendly or helpful at all, I came in thru kitchen, when to dining area, sat... More

Although the travel writers are constantly talking about Chicago's famous deep dish pizza, those of us who actually grew up in one of the neighborhoods on the north or south side will probably recall the thin crust pizza they served. Inexpensive, unpretentious (probably sausage....as pepperoni is more of a New York thing). This place reminds you of a time before... More

Al's Pizza has the greatest thin crust pizza in the area, there are pizza places closer to my house and I still drive the extra miles for Al's. Al's has a small dining room and you can also eat in the bar next door. They do not take credit cards but there is an ATM in the bar next door.... More

They make the pizza right there in back of the register. The thin crust is very good with friendly service. They do not except credit cards though so bring cash.

We love the pizza, the guys are friendly and we feel at home. When my son visits from New Mexico, we HAVE to go to Al's for pizza! Remember to bring cash - they do take local checks. It is nice to be able to get a cold beer from next door and enjoy beer with pizza!

Al's is a no frills classic Pizza Joint that produces a great Pizza. The place is small and I would probably go with takeout next time. The Place is always busy which means that the pizza, which is the bread and butter here, is excellent.

This is the thin crust of your dreams. I have never found pizza that was anywhere near its equal. It's a cozy and welcoming environment, and kids get tootsie pops on the house (feel free to ask).

If we want to go out for Pizza it's always Al's. It's the best Pizza around! Thin crust just right. Al's has a family diner feel, nothing fancy but authentic. We usually eat our Pizza at the Towne Tap, which is in the same building, same owners. Great local bar.
