Definitely the best chips around - fish is lovely too - always with a slice of lemon and pot of tatar sauce. You can also get a cone of chips for £1, which is big enough for those who don't like lots of chips. I genuinely think this is now the best chip shop around

Staying local and was recommended here for lunch, caught them just in time before they closed. Fish was cooked fresh and the chips were very good!! All arrived with lemon and Tatar sauce. Even my 4 year old loved the fish and she never likes chip shop fish!!

We were recommended Frydays by a local resident so we went in for a sit down meal, early evening. The small restaurant was full, but we decided to eat outside and had waitress service which was excellent. We were treated to one of the best fish and chips meals we have had in a long time. Would recommend the Taste... More

My wife and I use this family-run fish & chip restaurant for take-aways as we live locally. We have now been using it for nearly 2 years, since we moved into the area. There is a choice of haddock or cod, and usually hake too. All are dipped in batter and fried freshly after you have placed your order. There... More

We had been here before and remembered the fantastic fish n chips so we came back. The staff are really helpful and very efficient as they had about 10 orders on the go at once. You get beautiful fresh fish, a little pot of tartare sauce and even a wedge of lemon too. Absolutely brilliant and we will be back.

Thank Wendy O
