I had the 'chicken in the basket', crisp coating, moist chicken inside, probably the best fried chicken I have ever had. Traditional decor, retro theme, good artisan beer too.

It's a pretty laid back atmosphere. Loved bringing the family here. Cute kids menu. We had the kids chicken, baked Mac n cheese, chefs wings, and onion rings. It was amazing! Will be back for more 👍 We sat by the fire and loved it 🙂
Opened in 1946 on Route 66. Don't fill up on the biscuits and honey! I had the fried chicken it was wonderful! Served with fries and great coleslaw in a basket. Check out the menu on line. Try a Route 66 soda pop in green flavored. (What was I thinking?) The corn fritters are the best! They have slot machines... More
Had dinner with my family, six people and had the fried chicken they are known for. The chicken was excellent served hot and juicy and tender with great biskets. The salad bar was very good with fresh vegetables and delicious soups. Beets served the old fashioned way and loved by my wife. Overall everyone enjoyed the dining experience. The restaurant... More
Good nostalgic atmosphere, but alas, mediocre chicken. Cornflour breading was a bit greasy and had the distinct taste of used oil. Salad bar was good, not great, and somewhat limited. Soup was very good. Prices somewhat high, averaging $25 a head with a drink.
As seen on Triple D and known for their chicken, it was definitely a treat, as it was the moistest fried chicken I've ever had! The mashed potatoes were creamy and very flavorful and the chicken gravy was excellent. Biscuits were truly outstanding served with butter and honey on the table. Green beans were also very good. Overall a really... More
This was a must stop for us - saw it on Drive-Ins, Diners & Dives in Australia a while back. Chicken was everything and more that we had expected! So glad we stopped to eat. Chicken was succulent and tasty, washed down with a Root Beer float :-) Service was exceptional, staff very friendly. Very clean establishment also.
We love this place. Service is always great. People greet you with a smile. I have had the chicken but also the pot pie which is hot and tasty. Takes a little time to bake but worth it. I tried the fish and it also is good. The kidney bean salad is a favorite but also the dumpling soup. Real... More
