Homemade ice cream . Your taste buds will explode and take you back to your youth . Usually , a tiny wait . I had the vanilla . It is creamy , so creamy and full of flavor . My daughter had the butterfinger blast . We have been once again. The young college girl that works there is so... More

This place is small, but its always a stop when we have time and are in Bloomington. Great shakes, ice cream and what Dairy Queen would call a Blizzard. Do not try any other place in town as this is the best quality, largest quantity and best value. My preference is the black or red raspberry milkshake, but I went... More

We love homemade ice cream but who doesn't? Black cherry was amazing full of cherry pieces. My husband has the cherry cordial. He didn't car for it but it was a taste preference due to disliking chocolate pieces in his ice cream. Less cherry pieces in his ice cream as well. Next time black cherry all the way. Very busy... We visited around 20 minutes before closing time. They helped us right away. The ice cream was good but the service lacked a little. One order was incorrect. They made it seem like it was our mistake but it wasn't. Finally they offered to change it. I have been here many times and maybe we hit it on an off... More

Jiffy Treat and Hartzell's have the exact same ice cream flavors and variety. The prices are actually lower at Jiffy Treat than Hartzell's. Jiffy Treat has a unique ice cream shop "vibe," and it is a pretty small establishment inside but they offer outdoor seating in the parking lot. I will probably start going to Jiffy Treat more often than... More

Jiffy Treats has its pros - it is inexpensive and its cons - just about all the other local ice cream places in town are better. If it is summer, head over to Chocolate Mouse or to Brusters. If you like unusual flavors whether it is winter or summer you might like Hartzels (but their ice cream is less creamy... More

The other location was packed on a warm Sunday evening, so we drove across town to this location. Very busy, but virtually no line. Great variety of treats and food. My mom loves the hot dogs and especially the grilled ham & cheese.

You can't go wrong heading to Jiffy Treat. They make their own ice cream and have plenty of interesting seasonal specialties like persimmon in the Fall. I'm puzzled by another review that that said they got bad ice cream, I have been going 30 years and never been disappointed. Make sure you tell them if you are not happy so... More

I see people standing in line and I know this is a local favorite. So we went (again). Asked for two scoops of ice cream. The bottom scoop (the biggest) was so "freezer burned" tasted like bad ice. I took it home and threw it out. The small top scoop was pretty good. The apparently have many flavors - but... More

I was afraid to sit down it was so dirty. I don't see what the hype is about. It's ice cream...and it's just OK ice cream. Sad little store.
