Stopped in here on my last night in town for work. Nice place and very quiet for a Wednesday at 7pm. I was a little worried that I may not have found a great place to eat, but that was quickly put to rest as...More

Oh yes with ice cream please!! If you want just snack food, the potatoes balls and brie plate never disappoint. And it allows me to have space for the best dessert in town!!

We were set up in the outdoor alleyway which is beautiful. Vines and lights hang from the tall narrow walls and 2 tables were set up down each side. We had 4 choices of meals. I chose the lamb, which was a little tough and...More

I've been here many times and like to sit on the patio in nice weather. Food is good, although they haven't changed the menu in years. Fish and chips are my go to, but coddle is also good. Sometimes I just get Blarney puff balls,...More

This pub/restaurant is the closest to a genuine Irish pub I have found in the USA. It has a very genuine atmosphere with a very good food menu. Worth a visit.

This pub was an exact copy like on our recent trip to Ireland! They just didn't have the Irish accent 😜

I told my son not to order fettuccini at an Irish pub. The fettuccini itself was quite good. But the shrimp were undercooked. Still grayish, from frozen. Fried garlic mashed potatoes were good. I had the Shepard pie and it was good, although meat was...More

The Irish Lion is one of the quaint downtown restaurants that makes Bloomington popular. The atmosphere is outstanding, very old, grand pub. The food is excellent and the bar is plentiful.

Nope. I have never needed reservations to get a table. I would suggest if you had a large party to call in advance, but they have lots of room upstairs to accomodate most folks.
