The decor was beautiful and reminded me of my childhood! Loved the excellent selection they had, even at 8pm on a Friday!

Was for brunch with girlfriends. Not much to choose from besides quiche and sweets. Thought it was pretty pricey but my firends enjoyed it. Just had a $5 crossiant which was good. Didn't get any cake because I am diabetic but friends got some and they said it was very good. Service was a little slow and kept getting "evil... More

I recently moved back to Indianapolis and was meandering through Broad Ripple, when I happened to come across Cake Bake. It looked like a cute little shop, so I decided to just park the car and take a peak. When I opened the door, I felt like I had wandered into a magical wonderland, complete with delicious aromas wafting through... More

Went to the The Cake Bake Shop in Broadripple on Saturday night. We ordered the Honey Banana Cake. What a beautiful and memorable experience! What a charming atmosphere and a super hospitable staff. The flavor of this particular slice of cake was magical and the experience was worth the price and the wait.

Tihilton, Thank you so much for writing such a nice review. You were one of the few that got to try our Honey Banana Peanut Butter Cake before it hits our new Spring menu on Wednesday. I am so overjoyed that you liked it and I am extremely grateful for the 5 stars. Thank you and looking forward to your... More

Someone recommended this place. My mom, daughter and I visited for the first time. We absolutely loved the décor. It was unique and was like something out of a fairytale. Yes, the place is small. The dining area is one rather small room and you are in close quarters with others. We went just to have dessert and coffee and... More

Thank you so much for writing a review. I am working on opening a second location that will be a bit bigger than the old home my shop is in now. :) Hoping to see you again soon. All my best, Gwendolyn More

Amazing food (including the decadent gluten-free macaroons), beautiful decorations, and stunning service. Always great place to go.

My college daughter loves this place. Mostly frequented by ladies. Very fancy cute decor that changes with the seasons. Desserts and drinks are tasty but expensive. Disappointed this last visit due to a very dry coconut cake. I mention something to the server and he just brushed it off like that was normal. At $11 a slice, a little disappointing.

Unimpressive and expensive.Took our son for some birthday cake. The butter cream was more butter than any other flavor. Our adult son felt the cake was dry and flavorless.Maybe they're going for subtle but, we were not tasting any sweetness, any real cake flavor. For $12 a slice not a place to frequent.

I have eaten here twice with my wife and she has eaten here a couple other times with others. Our opinion is that the lunch fare is just OK, but all the pastries taste great. But it is out of sight expensive! It is also always busy.....so they've evidently found a niche where a lot of consumers are indifferent to... More

This quaint little house turned high end bakery is also an adorable ladies lunch place. I was there with a couple colleagues and had the Cream of Mushroom soup and the ham and gruyere baguette sandwich. It was incredible!!! I also bought a lemon bar and piece of apple crumb pie for my daughter and she loved it! The cakes... More

Gwendolyn Rogers has created a storybook restaurant in a cottage that took two and a half years for her to design & remodel. When you walk through the French doors, the sparkling chandeliers, antiqued mirrors, French inspired furniture, beautiful seasonal decorations and the rich aroma of the French chocolate cakes baking in the oven immediately greets you. Enjoy French pressed coffee with a slice of homemade cake or pie. Enjoy a cup of warm sipping chocolate topped with fresh whipped cream and a warm cookie right out of the oven. She offers an incredible lunch of ‘The Best Quiche You Will Ever Have’, homemade soups, salades, sandwiches, even a true French Croque Monsieur. The evenings offer charcuterie boards with imported meats, cheeses and olives served on elegant marble tiers. Behind the kitchen window, master bakers gently sieve non-bromated flours from Vermont, aluminum-free baking powders & sugars and large pots of French & Belgian Chocolate melting on the stove. Once the oven dings, everything at the Cake Bake Shop has come together to create a truly sweet and savory experience. Choose from our list of the best French wines & champagnes to accompany any of our lunches, cakes, cookies, pies & desserts. Gwendolyn’s Cake Bake Shop has become the destination of Indianapolis for celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and all the special occasions life offers.
