Was visiting friends who work in Indiana and they chose this place. Old school family establishment...I think it has been around since 1913. Had lunch there and ordered Chicken piccata off of their lunch special menu. Special came with choice of soup or salad and I had the sausage soup. Both soup and chicken were good and price was $8.95.... More

My wife and I went to Iaria's for our anniversary. It's been 20 years since my last visit, and it was like going home. The service is outstanding and the food was fresh made. I had the Spinach Lasagna and my wife had the Chicken Masala. Both were magnificent and the meatballs are to die for. I won't wait so... More

Celebrating with friends, we wanted true, local Italian cuisine. This location is off the beaten path, and perhaps a step into the middle 1960's. Decor is simple, but the meal is anything but. Fabulous taste and a great variety of foods and wines to select from. We made reservations and were glad we did. We visited on a Wednesday evening... More

I was a New York transplant who lived outside of Indianapolis for 6 years. I still go back on business and recently made a return trip to Laria's. Being from New York (an area blessed with many GREAT Italian eateries) I have high standards for my red gravy. Immediately you can see that Laria's has been around for a long... More

Iaria's is a long-time Indy favorite Italian restaurant located just south of downtown Indy. The dining room was crowded and a fun atmosphere, humming with many different conversations. The staff constantly moved around the room and were alert for any and every way to take care of their customers. The food was well prepared and beautifully presented. The servings were... More

I have a lot of favorite restaurants in Indy but iaria's is the place I always go the first night meal. I am a swimming coach and found this place in early 80's and always carb up my swimmers here during competitions but I come here by myself too when recruiting. The clams sauce is best I have ever had... More

A visit to Iaria's is like visiting a large Italian home. The facility, with a large, free parking lot, is nestled in an established neighborhood just south of downtown. Once inside, the staff welcomes you as if you're a member of the family. Then, they serve fresh, "homemade" Italian foods that are delicious and generous in portion size. The chatter... More

Two of us had dinner while in town on business. Iarias was recommended by our client so I had high expectations. The decor reminded me a bit of Buca di Beppo with old black and white photos on the walls and old style tables and chairs. We sat in a corner booth with uneven seating - not very comfortable. We... What more can I say, I've found an Italian restaurant that makes as good a chicken parmesan as I could get back on the east coast. I'm just very disappointed that it took me nearly 20 years to finally try Iarria's. I promised myself as we were leaving that I would be back, very soon, to try some other dishes... More

Experience: An understated approach to great Italian food. The restaurant isn't overtly "Italian" in décor, which is endearing. Walls are covered with local memorabilia from a long tenure as a staple in the city. Lots to admire while your drinks/food are prepared. Split into two distinct dining areas: family and bar. Food: Excellent menu, can't miss with the Blackened Chicken... More
