After years of driving by this place I finally stopped in for lunch. I was hungry for sushi and ordered 3 rolls as I had read they were on the small side. I also had a side salad with ginger dressing. The sushi rolls tasted good but the individual slices were difficult to separate. The salad was fresh, but I... More

We have patronized many Japanese restaurants in numerous states and we both felt like the food was not up to par. The service was excellent in an unfinished atmosphere, and the prices are great, but the food reflects the prices. The food did not taste like it was fresh, and most of it tasted like it had been previously made... More

The selection is truly authentic, the fish is fresh and delicate, and the service is spectacular! The premises and atmosphere is lacking. It's an old house, not well kept, and can be cold in the winter. But, the great Japanese food makes up for all of it!

Most of the noodle dishes are under $8 and include soup or salad. Food is wonderful and the staff/owners are prompt and friendly.

The place is small but well worth the time and money. The food is wonderful and the service is great. The food always tastes fresh and it is especially a nice place on cold days. If you don't like this style of food, don't go, it's all they serve.

The food here is amazing- every single thing on the menu is delicious. The owners are friendly and know the regulars by name, and the service is nothing short of excellent, even when the restaurant is packed. I've since moved away from Indianapolis, but I have yet to find a restaurant better than Ichiban, and I try to visit every... More

Taste is excellent. Service is excellent. Selection variety is excellent. Only complaint is portion size - a little small compared to some other sushi places I've been to, but is is prepared very well. Nice touch with the hot towels before and after! One other note - wear a jacket. I've been here several times over the years, and it's... More

I reviewed another sushi place in Noblesville, which is very good. Ichiban’s sushi is smaller pieces than average hence the less expensive check at the end. But you won’t go away hungry! Their noodle dishes are the best! Owned by a delightful Chinese man who loves to scuba dive. He is the sushi chef you will see preparing your order.... More

I have been coming to this place for the last 12 years. It is a true hole in the wall. But it is clean and well run. The wife is the main waitress and her husband is the sushi chef. They occasionally have help but it's basically them. They are always so nice to my kids. The sushi is really... More

I grew up eating here and believe it or not, the building used to look worse but the food has always been phenomenal and affordable. A husband and wife own this restaurant and the husband, Louis, is the one making your sushi! This restaurant is the answer to, "Where do the locals get their sushi?"
