This little hole in the wall is between The Egyptian Hookah Lounge (reccomended) and Panda Express. The inside is a step back in time to a corner Greek spot. The gyros are amazing and the fries are to die for. The fajita gyro is my personal favorite, cooked on a grill that has some wonderful flavor cooked in. Definitely go... More

Heard good opinions about this place, decided to give it a try. Gyro was nothing special, tzaziki sauce was watery. Place is greasy/unclean and a bit worn. If you want a good gyro, go to the Parthenon.

I had the classic gyro. The meat comes from a spit, not from a freezer and it was piled high. The tzatziki sauce was very tasty. The restaurant has no atmosphere, but one doesn't need atmosphere when enjoying a delicious gyro. Prices are reasonable.

Best Gyros in town. The thin fries are good too... So by the combo because it includes a drink. Save room for a piece of homemade baklava! The building is nothing special, needs a few repairs. The owner is the one that takes your order, serves you up and is very friendly. Walking distance from campus.

We both had the classic gyros combo, including fries and drink. Great amount of food for the money. The tzatziki sauce was very good, though a little light for my taste. Got another little cup, no problem. Plenty of gyro meat, and the fries portion is enough to feed two (if you wanted to!). This is a hole-in-the-wall, barely off-campus... More

I remember when this place opened and the food and portions were huge. I stopped back in and was really let down. Place could be much better. Change the name to "E 1private gyro's."

Captain Gyros is a small Greek restaurant just a few streets over from Purdue. The Gyros are HUGE and very good. They also carry a large selection of hamburgers which are also HUGE. The food is very tasty. The clientele is interesting because it hasn't usually been students, but working people. We have been here several times and have never... More

Friends and me would go after Purdue BBall games quite often. We always enjoyed going there. Plenty of gyro meat when you're served your gyro. The fries are fried when you order. They never have them under a hot lamp. The spicy gyro is also pretty tasty. Be prepared to have to use a fork and knife to mop up... More

The place was somewhat grungy, but the service was quick. I had a gyro, and it was meaty and and tasty.Others in my party enjoyed their food as well, and the meal was inexpensive.

Two employees held the door open for my kids and I when we arrived mid week for lunch. They followed us in, stowed their half smoked cigarettes and took up their station behind the register and grill. Fortunately the cook slipped his hands into some plastic gloves. Food was mediocre at best, basic meat and pita gyro. Greek salad was... More
